U.S. Prepping For Iran Nuke Strike?
Nuke 'em 'till they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark
With Iran seemingly hell-bent on getting itself turned into the world's largest ashtray, America seems more than willing to oblige. I for one, would rather see us foment revolution from within in Iran. The anti-clerical faction (read: young people) appears to grow by the day. Yet alas, these things take time. And with apologies to Mick and the boys, time ain't on our side.
I for one have a gut feeling that once the Iranians have nukes, we'll also have mushroom clouds over Western cities. And in the vernacular of Today's Urban Youth... screw dat, yo.
Many moons ago, I was attached to a Marine Detachment aboard a particular naval vessel. I recall a Navy MT (Missile Tech) telling me that the warhead proper for a Polaris/Poseidon only weighed 180 lbs. Sheesh... two halfway fit guys could tote that around.
And yeah, I know that most of their nuke sites are underground, and that sure will be a bitch to take out. ... but oh, by the way, I remember about a year ago there was a minor sensation in the news about America working on a nuclear bunker buster. Then that particular story just evaporated. Kinda like what'll happen to Iran if they keep screwing around?

No. There isn't much concern about respecting other Muslims.
If Iran doesn't give in, the UN will try to tiptoe around the issue and threaten them with sactions, etc. It reminds me of the Snickers commercial where the guy throws the candy onto a burning couch - weak tactics aren't going to work.
The leader of Iran is insane. Period. And it would be a big feather in his cap to wipe Israel off the map for good.
And what is that, what we 'Have to do'? Pray, urgently, for their conversion. Most Iranians' support for an aggressive front stems from their own sense of disenfanchisement from the world economy. I bet most would rather not live in the 'ashtray' prescribed, but would rather live in freedom and peace. Dehumanizing them won't help the process, and just reveals the depth of our own love as Christians.

Should we have "prayed urgently" for Germany prior to Set 1, 1939? Sure.
Should we have "prayed urgently" for Japan prior to Dec 7, 1941? Sure.
Sould I "pray urgently" for the nutjob down the street who makes no bones about building a home made bomb to throw through mu livingroom window? Sure.
But know this... once he has said bomb made and he started heading towards my house, I have every right in the world to blow his brains out.
Something about Christian Charity.... for my family. Do I not have the obligation to protect them from evil?
And as far as Iran's "disenfanchisement from the world economy"... I guess all that talk about America being the Great Satan, and wiping Isreal off the map just MIGHT have something to do with certain nation excersizing their RIGHT not to engage in international trade with them. Ya think?
It seems the vitriol is not aimed at the leadership, where it should be, but a blanket "Kill'em all and let God sort them out" threat of annihilation. The people over there are just as much created in the image of God as we here are, and need to be loved as such.
Yes, by all means, protect your family from evil, in all forms. Make sure they all know that God could call us at any time, and that they are suitably arrayed for the Bridegroom. If I am in a state of grace, I am not afraid of physical death.
Let's be specific in our condemnations and judicious in our use of lethal force.

I don't know why you guys are so hard on the president of Iran? I think its remarkably refreshing to see a politican who is open and honest about his faith.
If only the likes of Kennedy and Kerry were as into protecting the unborn as the president of Iran is into killing all infidels.

Yeah, Caveman, I see the bunker buster reference. But i also see "Nuke 'em 'till they glow, then shoot 'em in the dark" as the subheadline for the post. That kind of statement may give some people the wrong idea about you.
I'd almost prefer a strategic 'accident' at one of these facilities, but I doubt our CIA has that kind of reach anymore.
