Not Just Non-Catholic... This Is ANTI-Catholic
When Jesuits go bad

WARNING! Harsh Language Alert!

Is this the 'Springtime of The Church' I've been hearing about so much? Here's some of the article from The California Catholic; (Emphasis mine)
More of the same
Fr. Jenkins of Notre Dame, Lloyd Dean of Catholic Healthcare West, and lawyer who backs same-sex marriage to be commencement speakers at USF

On May 21-22, the 2010 commencement exercises at the Jesuit University of San Francisco will take place, and, in keeping with a pattern that has developed over the years, the university has invited controversial speakers to address graduates of the university’s various schools.

Fr. John Jenkins, C.S.C., president of the University of Notre Dame, will address graduate students of the College of Arts and Sciences. Fr. Jenkins was not too well known before around the end of 2008. That’s when it became known that he had invited pro-abortion President Barack Obama to be commencement speaker and receive an honorary degree at Notre Dame’s May 2009 graduation ceremonies. Fr. Jenkins’ invitation resulted in a firestorm of opposition -- including from his own bishop, who refused to attend the commencement ceremonies. At least 83 bishops publicly went on record in opposition to Fr. Jenkins’ invitation. Like President Obama at Notre Dame, Fr. Jenkins will be awarded an honorary degree by USF.

Lloyd Dean, president and CEO of Catholic Healthcare West, will be the commencement speaker for the USF School of Education and Nursing. Dean, who earned $5.8 million in 2005, and was a donor to the Barack Obama campaign, was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle on March 28 applauding the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (President Obama’s controversial healthcare bill). “This historic legislation is the first step in the most profound change in health care policy in my lifetime,” Dean told the Chronicle.

Dean is also slated to be awarded an honorary degree from USF.

Dale Minami, a partner with the firm Minami, Lew and Tamaki LLP, will speak to graduates of the USF School of Law. Minami is an outspoken and effective advocate for same-sex “marriage.” On Dec. 8, 2007 Minami, Lew and Tamaki sponsored the Holiday Love 2007 Fundraiser in San Francisco. The fundraiser benefited “Asian Pacific Islander Equality” (API Equality), an advocacy group supporting same sex “marriage.” Mr. Minami will also be awarded an honorary USF degree.

This year’s list of USF commencement speakers continues a trend that has developed over the years. Last year, the university invited South African Bishop Kevin Dowling, who has defied Church teaching on abstinence before marriage and the use of condoms, and San Francisco District Attorney Kamala D. Harris, a vocal opponent of Proposition 8, the constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex “marriage” supported by the state’s bishops and approved by voters in November 2008.

In May of 2007, current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, a longtime supporter of unrestricted abortion, same-sex marriage and embryonic stem cell research, was featured as a USF commencement speaker.

In December 2005, William E. Swing, then Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of California, received an honorary degree from USF at commencement exercise for undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Nursing, and the McLaren School of Business.

In May of 2004, USF honored Leo McCarthy, a pro-abortion politician and three-term Democratic lieutenant governor of California, at its commencement exercises. McCarthy was a USF graduate and, in 2001, donated $1 million to the university to found the Leo T. McCarthy Center for Public Service and the Common Good.

The center became embroiled in a 2003 controversy when a pro-life Republican candidate for mayor of San Francisco was not permitted to participate in a candidates’ forum held there. “There may be a reason why the Leo T. McCarthy Center was not struck by the oddness of a debate that includes only pro-abortion Catholics,” said an Oct. 10, 2003 editorial in the archdiocesan newspaper. “Its namesake, the former Lieutenant Governor of California, is a staunchly pro-abortion Catholic politician.” When McCarthy died in February 2007, his funeral Mass was held at St. Ignatius Church on the USF campus.
And spare me the bullshit that there isn't already a defacto schism in The Church.

Of course there's a de facto schism in the Church! I'm actually looking forward to when His Holiness pisses the schismatics off enough for them to proclaim it openly.

Maybe that's why Abp. Gomez got LA?

You mean to say the Emperor really has no clothes on?

I suppose it is safe to say that Ex Corde Ecclesiam is a dead letter in the United States.

Hey Caves: Be sure to include the Canadian bishops as part of the de facto schism.
