(LifeSiteNews.com) – Archbishop John Hepworth, Primate of the Traditional Anglican Communion (TAC), told LifeSiteNews (LSN) on Friday that the TAC is very clear on refusing Communion to pro-abortion politicians or anyone advocating an anti-life view.
“Anybody publicly espousing an anti-life stand against the clear teaching of the Church and the commandments would be immediately removed from any office, and certainly would be told they can't receive Communion,” he explained.
Hepworth made these comments in an interview with LSN while he visited Halifax, Nova Scotia as part of a worldwide tour encouraging TAC communities to accept the Vatican's recent offer for reunion with the Catholic Church.

Abp. Wuerl is mistaken, I think. Of course the Church has used excommunication as a weapon - a loud wake-up call to tell the sinner to repent, confess, and sin no more. Jesus said, "Render to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's," and those who give Caesar what is God's have to be told loud and clear that they are grievously in the wrong.
Re-reading my aforementioned comment, apparently I didn't proof read it sufficiently well. I was stating that the TAC is not a protestant organization because its theology doesn't fit protestantism. The TAC is not an Anglican Church because they broke away from the Anglican Communion under the Archbishop of Canterbury in 1976 over the ordination of woman and the heterodoxy of many of the Anglican & Episcopalian Churches of the Anglican Communion. IMHO, the Anglican Churches (in union with Canterbury) as a whole are protestant, their latitudinarianism notwithstanding.

How's Weurl gonna "spin" to the Lord not having warned the BotoxBiddy of the mortal danger in which she might find herself? Especially if she's receiving the The Lord's Body and Blood unworthily?
Why the h**l be a bishop if you're not willing to correct error? Oy!
P.S. If D.C. doesn't want a man like Primate Archbishop John Hepworth, send him to Mahony-land. We could sure use him!
At some point as the Church faithful awaken and wash off the cobwebs and dust it won't make any difference what these faithless bishops do or don't do. As St Paul says, those who take Holy Communion in a sinful state serve only to condemn themselves.
If the bishops contribute to these souls obstinacy, then they are complicit in the self condemnation.
But there is a ray of light: Jesus says something about pouring hot coals on the heads of such people as Nazi Pelosi who insist on mocking God and the Church while butchering babies. Maybe that is all the bishops are doing. If they see no possibility that the Pelosi-esque fiends will ever repent, then why not indulge their self damnation wishes?
The big problem then remains as to how this functions for teaching the faithful and those who would be faithful if they were given living examples of faith instead of hot air and confused babble.
This formiddable erudition being now put forth, the question becomes my gut feeling: Kick them out, the whole lot of them, and replace them with faithful and comprehensible prelates ... not unfaithful and reprehensible prelates.
