MSNBC Anchor Disregards Constitution
And we're suppose to be suprised, how?
Sarah Palin is far from my choice for prez in '12, but the hack job that the former sportscaster turned blithering idiot does against Palin is typical of the ObaMedia.
Here's the gist of the article from NewsBusters.org;
Olbermann: 2012 Voters Better Understand Palin's Religious Beliefs
For the record, our third story is neither ridiculing nor disputing her religious beliefs. It is purely an attempt to discern exactly what those beliefs constitute, so that the voters of 2012 know exactly what they`re getting.
There`s nothing to suggest that Palin`s religious beliefs are anything but utterly mainstream, American mainstream, anyway. But in the last two weeks, she has revealed pieces of the puzzle of her religious doctrines, that suggest she shares the belief of her church, the Assemblies of God, that in the end times, the Rapture, Jesus lifts true believers up with him as non-believers suffer through the Apocalypse. Interesting. Now take a gander at something you may find mildly interesting;
"... no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." In case Olbermann doesn't recognize that passage, it's from The Constitution of the United States of America, Article VI, section 3.

I dunno...if we survive the present administration, we might want to revisit the religious test clause.
By the way, just out of curiosity, why not Sarah Palin?
Anita,
I'm more of a Reagan Republican, so I'm partial to Bobby Jindal (even though he cancelled his exploratory cmmtt, damn it!!). And when SP resigned from the governorship, that left a VERY bad taste in my mouth.
Don't get me wrong, I fully realize that McCain/Palin lost by only 6% points, and without SP, McCain would have lost by an easy 20 points. SP re-energized the conservo base. And I'm grateful to her for that.
But if she can't handle the heat at the Alaska Governor's Mansion, she'll NEVER be able to take it in the White House.
St Paul informs us of the nature of men and women. I take the instruction seriously.
Today's western civilization has been opting to be run by old women. Why? Because they are the most tolerant of immoral indulgence by the population in general. And even if they disapprove of social public sex and murder/mayhem institutions, they don't have the huevos to do anything about it. And instead of working with what God has given them to work with, namely having babies, these women exploit their lustful natures and head for politics.
Yes, there has been the occasional outstanding woman ruler in Catholic history, but notice that this has not happened in any other history? Has anyone bothered to find out why? Hint: It involves men who supported them ... devout Catholics. Blessed Mary Ever Virgin does not hold a position such as the female version of a king, emperor, or president, but a very special and unique throne. There is no woman other than she who can sit on that throne. Her throne is not the throne that rules over the earth, or the Church. That throne has been given to the popes.
Notice that Jesus did not say to give to caesarina what is caesarina's?
Notice that in recent times the public leadership of the west is devolving into a series of circus events?
Notice that all those hours fastened to the TV screen and you cannot get them to listen to you? Notice that it has programmed you to relegate yourself to the sit down, shut up, listen and believe category?
This perspective might move a soul to the Mass, where at least God, whom we cannot see (except in Jesus) actually encourages us to talk to Him and He listens to us. Is this a great difference or what?
What am I rambling about now? TV has programmed the mind of the west into mush, into the puppet mentality. Rebel against it? Yes, and it prescribes and correographs every move that the public makes. Take a stand according to Catholicism, and find out what persecution for the sake of righteousness is all about.
It comes down to Catholicism versus robotic enslavement. Take your choice ... vote government or vote God. Vote for the government party in all its variations or vote for God in His humble unity with no variations.
Turn off the TV and think ... try it for once; it's scary. But then that is the benefit of interactive websites such as this one ... blog and it shall be blogged unto ye.
I just got my internet bill ... jumped 53% ... The slave master is catching on, and is beginning to corral the blogosphere. It is getting more and more expensive. If the govt finds it difficult to tax or otherwise control it, then a way will be found to make it exclusively expensive ... all for the purpose of making it a one way street -- govt talks, we listen and dance to its tune and no other.
So, go ahead and vote for members of the circus dangled before us, the public, by the lion tamers, who are servants of people you never see in the big tent.
Re: the end times rapture stuff
The Catholic Church doesn't hold to this, but doesn't forbid her faithful from believing in it. The Orthodox, however, call this the heresy of chiliasm, but I think a very specific end times belief must be held for it to be a heresy according to the Orthodox. I don't believe in it myself, but my point is, that end times rapture beliefs are not weird and kooky from the Christian POV compared with so much of the Social Justice bull sh*t that is so prevalent in the RCC of today BTW, I am not an opponent of Social Justice. It comes under the Catholic teachings on the Corporal Works of Mercy, but I do not think it should trump salvation. Otherwise, why would the Catholic Church call herself the Universal Sacrament of Salvation?
I don't care for Sarah Palin as a politician, but she is a whole lot more palatable than Joey Hairplugs. She is also very pretty, likes guns, and knows how to gut a moose. What man could ask for more, except perhaps for a long legged, gorgeous blonde who owns her own brewery? This makes a good argument for bigamy! LOL
Sarah did NOT resign because she couldn't take the heat. She resigned because the constant attacks from the left were personally bankrupting her family and preventing her from doing her job. The only newspaper up there is the Anchorage Daily News--purely leftist BS and totally against anything she did or even tried. The ethics board violations filed were ALL dismissed, but only after her lawyers had to file a great deal of paperwork on her behalf, which costs serious money.
She was no longer able to govern--not her fault, and she left her very capable Lt. Gov. in charge when she left.
Sheesh. She did the right thing. Don't let that ruin your dinner.
"And instead of working with what God has given them to work with, namely having babies, these women exploit their lustful natures and head for politics."
What in all that is good and holy are you talking about?
FYI, I'm sterile. Apparently born that way. Can't have babies. Should I just kill myself now?
That is the most offensive piece of crap I've read on the internet in a while, and I had to read it here. Pleah, to you and the horse you rode in on.
My point, TCN, is to reflect on the fact that God has created an order to human organization. I simply posted a brief notation ... if you want the whole explanation with complete instruction set, then the Bible would be your source. BTW, Patriarch Abraham's wife, Sarah, was infertile ... until age 86, when she conceived and bore Isaac, a direct ancestor of Jesus. Blessed Mary conceived and bore only one child, yet she did not run for political office what with all her free time. In fact, Scripture has her with a whole gang of kids in one instance.
There is a great deal of work to be done for the Kingdom of God that only women can do, and politics is not one of these.
Rather than try to muddy the waters with emotional rant, why not consider the question I had posted, which asks for the names of women who excelled in politics without Catholic men enabling them? My post was dead serious: When there are women running things, then there are men behind the scenes who are making it happen ... but we typically do not know who they are. Obama, at least has name all these people czars, and he is not even a woman (for the most part).
The moral rot of the western world is so bad that its men have chosen to put women in high positions, while they kick back with all their fantasies fueled by one way brain programming machines such as TV.
So, now look at the fix we're all in, and look at the solutions being put forth by those in power. There is not one sensible thing being done by Congress, the Prez, or the Courts ... they are all catering to the concupiscence of the nation instead of to its moral necessity.
You need to examine the situation. Many things correlate, which are shocking, but are being hidden by the corrupt media.
When is the last time you heard a discussion over the virtues of women ruling empires and nations? The fact that you are shocked by the suggestion I made proves that this vital topic is not at all allowed to be discussed publically.
Why not?
Vir,
JLS is correct. The Left was trying to muzzle and intidate Sarah Palin by constantly suing her in an attempt to tie up her time and personally bankrupt her, not unlike when they tried to sue all of America's gun manufacturers out of of business.
Speaking about gun laws, California's commo-republo steroid victim govnator just signed a law that ammo buyers will have to show their driver's licence and have it recorded with the purchase ... starting in 2011. The bill initially was going to limit the purchase to 50 rounds per year, so I was told.
