Well, Pres. Obama refused to attend the Inaugural Ball with the Medal of Honor Winners as well, so it seems that the Dalai Lama is in good company. (And IIRC, the Dalai Lama did once tell Oprah she had asked a "stupid question".)
What's a poor dictator to do when faced with a Hobson's choice of pandering to the liberals by meeting with their hero or keeping the Communists happy. Wait a minute--maybe this is not such an impossible choice after all...
Oh the irony, Obama just won the Nobel Peace Prize. It comes shortly after he rejects a meeting with a previous winner in order to appease a socialist government.
IMHO Obama won it because he is a socialist & because he is black, not for the BS reasons they gave.
