My Public Mea Culpa
Retraction and clarification
A couple of days ago, I posted and commented on an article from The Fayetteville Observer where they quoted the spokesman of the Diocese of Raleigh, Frank Morock. The Fayetteville Observer printed the following;
When asked about the possibility of parishioners trying to bar Ospina's entry again, [spokesman for the Raleigh Diocese, Frank] Morock said, "We hope that they will" allow him to enter his church. It has since come to my attention that Frank Morock never said such a thing. The source of this information is unimpeachable... period.
I'll admit that I came down pretty hard on Frank Morock for what was printed in The Fayetteville Observer. With that said, in light of the information that I've just received, I publicly and sincerely retract what I've posted that was erroneously attributed to him by T.F.O.
I also publicly and sincerely apologize to Frank Morock for any stain on his reputation that may have been caused by my comments in regards to the erroneous quote in T.F.O.
What's right is right. Frank Morock deserves the same level of consideration that I believe we all deserve. Especially in light that he's done nothing wrong and was lied about.
There, it's done. I've had the 'nads to set the record straight. Let's hope that The Fayetteville Observer does the same.

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong.

Bravo VSC!
Caveman/VSC is a class act. If only more people took responsibility like him - the world would be much better.
Thanks guys!
As we use to say in the Corps whenever we were tempted to do the wrong thing - we'd just stare hard at the possible offender and sternly say "INTEGRITY CHECK!"
In true Marine Corps fashion, that's usually all it took.
The Fayetteville Observer? It still exists?
BTW--the Above post on this matter makes me like the Diocese better than I have since 1980!
