Hi, VSC,

If I had ever worn a helmet (I flunked the physical) I would tip it to you. Your stuff is always good, often better, and sometimes the best commentary I've read.

Minneapolis MN has a Democrat mayor, a very liberal city council, and since it and Hennepin County are known (since 1968 that I know of) as a welfare magnet, we are headed down the slope too.

Being a resident of metropolitan Detroit, I'd say that the city is a black hole, but that might be construed as racist.

At least a darn good hockey team plays there.

A little bit of Detroit history:

One of the things that came to light (or greater light) in the Detroit race riots was police brutality. The issue remained long enough to get Coleman Young elected on a platform of reforming the Detroit Police Department, which he did. Detroit's electorate was so grateful that they kept him in office as long as he pleased.

But after that, Young behaved ... well, pretty much as we see Obama behaving: funneling funds to friends and allies, and playing the race card when faced with opposition.
