"Catholics For Obama" -- At A Catholic School?
And we wonder why most Catholic youth favor abortion
The following e-mail was sent to me yesterday; (Emphasis mine)Kevin,
My 12 year old neighbor (who is Catholic & attends St. Mary's School) came by today to play with my kids. He had an Obama symbol painted on his face. When I asked him about it, he further explained that today was the St. Mary's Fall Festival. At the festival they were face painting & were painting Obama symbols on many peoples faces........ If this were an isolated case, it might be chalked up to a mis-understanding. But to those that frequent The Lair, I'm sure the goings on at St. Mary's come as no surprise.
Past posting here, here, here, and here. (The last one is my personal favorite. All about how Christmas is "imperfect".)

The one with the moron priest who can't understand Fr, Son, and Holy Spirit Baptisms?
Did she say she was from Austin? Yesterday was St. Mary's school festival here and Obama propaganda would not surprise me :(
Their kindergarten class is collecting yogurt tops for the Susan G. Komen foundation (known supporters of planned parenthood).
Liberal town full of clueless people. Let's pray for them.
Based on the letter from the Bishops of Raleigh and Charlotte I think a little visit to the head of that Church and School is in order. It is worth a drive down there to me. Just say the word my brother!
It tears me apart that we have two Catholic schools in the Cape Fear deanery and I would not dare send my kids to either of them. We tried St. Mark's for two years when it first opened, what a waste. I was in this school last week teaching my Confirmation prep (we are holding classes there while our parish education building is having renovations done) class and it is sad to sit in a classroom in what is suppose to be a Catholic school and look around the class and down the halls and see barely anything that would make it stand out as such. So things have not changed at all.
I have seven kids and I'd love for the youngest 4 to attend a decent Catholic school to help foster their Faith. Unfortunately the 'haves' were allowed to take over at St. Mark's where they have created an indulgent, 'air of priviledge' atmosphere that makes anyone who would actually have to sacrifice to send their kids there, think twice. St. Mary's does not sound much better (At least St. Mark's will be heading in the right direction with their new pastor).
I know the Bishop has a lot on his plate, but aside from getting us TLM back, I'd really like to see him address the problems we have with the schools down here. These schools need to be breeding the next wave of Fathers Parkerson's and Meares's, not the next wave of 'Poncho Ladies' and effete music directors. This breed of Catholic won't die out if they're the ones steering the ship when it comes to Catholic education.
SV,
I have the funny feeling the bishop is already aware of the goings on!
Like you, I'd just like to see something... ANYTHING... happen, and quick.
Young minds are being poisoned more and more with each passing day.
Heh. If I can get the digicamera back from the Beloved, I'll take pictures of the faculty parking lot at my daughter's quasi-Catholic HS here in the DOR. The kid was shouted down in "Global Studies" class (by classmates) when she said that you cannot be Catholic AND vote for Obama. She is one of the freak-fringe kids in her class.
