Alleged "Catholics 4 Obama"
Springtime of The Church alert

"I've been spoon-fed Marxist-inspired 'Liberation Theology' my entire life by my Religious Education facilitators. I've never heard a sermon condemning abortion. The vast majority of priests I've ever known were so effemminate in speech, mannerisms, and attitude, coupled with their constant preaching from the pulpit about how GLTBQ are "always our children", it isn't hard to figure out where Father Limpwrist stands on the subject. I went to Confession once when I was a child, but 'partake of the Eucharistic community meal' every single Sunday.

And that's why I'm a member of '10,000 Catholics 4 Obama." ~ CINO's thoughout this country

Heretical is as heretical does. By the way... thanks for nothing, USCCB.

Hello,

I think I am a Catholic and I am voting for Barack Obama.

It'd be interesting to know how many interviewed for this ad said they're against Obama.

And 26,000 dead kids a day due to poverty? As you are wont to say, WTF???

I haven't even bothered to turn on the PC speakers to hear what they have to say. Any "Catholic" who votes for Obama should be excommunicated.

No doubt that these young fools see St. Francis of Assisi as a "hippie" rather than the person who converted the Muslims to Christ.

Please pray the Rosary, friends~ the battle continues

exactly helen, many people see St. Francis as a tree hugging, environmentalist wacko who really had nothing to do with actually living the Faith.

What they should be saying is more like "Hello, I'm Catholic, and I just got excommunicated for voting for Obama"

Hmmm...they support Obama on single issues. No one cares about abortion though. Good Catholics!

Hector: "26,000 children dying from poverty every day." What country is this guy living in?

Cassie: "I believes IN Obama."

Dustan Park: "Torture is never ok." What about abortion?
Dave Barren says "my faith" has brought him to his choice.

"Faith hope and action, change America?" but faith and hope in whom? Obviously not Jesus Christ.

Fruit of Vatican 2, for sure. Again, a generation (or more) is lost for the lack of good catechesis, just as predicted in Hosea 4:6.

The only way to correct this aberation is to make it mandatory for Baltimore Catechism to be taught and 1 hour a day per week, and two on Sunday at the bare minimum.

This also goes back to the fact that especially the young think that it is perfectly acceptable to believe in opposition to the church that they are some how "conscientious objectors" to the Catholic Faith. This is seen as noble and makes them somehow more Catholic than just regular practicing Catholics. They follow the poor example shown by so many priests, sisters, and lay people who have hijacked the two great commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ. They actually do believe Jesus was a hippie that believed in free love and non-judgement.

This is where I get really pissed off at the pathetic excuse of parental responsibility we have today. If I had a penny for everytime I wanted to backhand a parent for being derelict I would be a millionaire.

simplex, i'm taking your words here to heart, and shoving the baltimore catechsim for my first communicants down their throats until they get it :)

And for the high schoolers, forced memorization of the CCC and the Roman Catechsim...and if they dare complain, they'll have to memorize it in Latin too, muhahahahaha.

Health care is a right for all, not a privilege for a few. Barack Obama is willing to use your money to fight for his cause. Then, if he wins, he's willing to use more of your money to implement it.

How does he find it in himself to be so generous?

I'm not surprised!

Does anyone subscribe to Catholic Digest? Yes, I said C-A-T-H-O-L-I-C Digest. I used to, but not anymore.

Their October issue features photos of John McCain and Barack Obama on the cover as well as an article inside asking each of the candidates "pertinent: questions.

Nowhere did I see any questions or comments about Sen. McCain being largely pro-choice, and a question was put to Sen. Obama as to what response would he give Catholics who question his pro-choice/pro-abortion stance. And they let him get by with the stock, "Well, no one os really FOR abortion" blah, blah, blah. Really, Sen. Obama? You could have fooled me!

Oh, and there's also an article about how Catholics should view their voting responsibilities and guess who that is authored by? Archbishop Neiderauer, Nancy Pelosi's archbishop out in San Francisco. He does not come out and state unequivocally that Catholic should not be voting for a pro-choice candidate.

Suffice it to say there is NO mention in this issue about the ratings given to either Prediential candidate from the NRLC (70% for McCain, 0% for Obama) nor from NARAL.

No wonder so many Catholics are confused about their moral obligations in this election.
