Time Again For The Obligatory Marine Corps Posting
All Marine... all the time

PreVatII sent this my way. Extra cool. And to think I use to get PAID for doin' stuff like this!! It almost seems criminal.... almost.

Then there's this, courtesy of Marine wife and all around swell chick, Kit Brookside, Esq.

Nothing says smart-ass like a 19-year old Marine combat vet. PS, don't run with scissors.

And the next time you hear of the Defeatocrats pissin' an' moanin' about how the Armed Forces is struggling to make it, remind them of the following; (from the Air Force Times)
All services meet March recruiting goals

Recruiting was strong across all military branches and reserve components in March, according to numbers released by the Defense Department.

All four active-duty branches met or exceeded their recruiting goals, with the Marine Corps making the biggest splash by bringing in 2,234 recruits against a goal of 1,632, thus making 137 percent of the goal.

Here’s how each component fared:

* The Army hit 101 percent of its goal of 6,000 accessions with 6,066.

* The Navy hit 100 percent of its goal of 2,909 accessions with 2,909.

* The Marine Corps hit 137 percent of its goal of 1,632 accessions with 2,234.

* The Air Force hit 100 percent of its goal of 2,093 accessions with 2,093.

* The Army National Guard hit 100 percent of its goal of 6,040 accessions with 6,048.

* The Army Reserve hit 121 percent of its goal of 3,543 accessions with 4,304.

* The Navy Reserve hit 100 percent of its goal of 865 accessions with 865.

* The Marine Corps Reserve hit 100 percent of its goal of 553 accessions with 553.

* The Air National Guard hit 121 percent of its goal of 784 accessions with 946.

* The Air Force Reserve hit 100 percent of its goal of 719 accessions with 720.
And lastly, from MRC.org's 2008 DisHonors Awards for the Most Outrageously Biased Liberal Reporting of the Year, I don't know if this one should be filed under the Those Damn Marines put me out of a job!! file, or the Liberal Media at it's Best/Worst file, or possibly even the America is ALWAYS at fault! file.

As an Air Force brat & with all do respect to Cavey's Marines:

WAY TO GO AIR FORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go for the rest of the branches also. & this is during a war too boot.

So, explain to me how the majority of Americans are opposed to the war? & that we are losing? This seems to prove just the opposite to me.

This news shocks me! All you ever hear on tv news is negativity about our soldiers. I'm glad to see there are still loyal Americans willing to fight for our freedom.

Only God looks down on a Marine...everyone else looks up.

But thanks to all the young men and women who stepped up to serve their country and continue to put the lie to the libs. As the ancient Greeks used to say, "If you want peace, prepare for war."

Aww shucks, Cavey, thanks for the props...and OOH RAH to the Marines! (And the other branches, of course)

Kinda tickles me "Code Pink" - they must be in emergency session over this news. ;-)

Nice ad.
After getting a dated (c. 1950s) book on the Marine Corps from the library for my 3yo (it had nice photos of guns), when asked what a Marine is, he answers, "A fighting machine."

Sarah,
You are obviously raising your boy properly. He is, no doubt, future Marine Corps officer material!
