To Know Know Know him Is To Love Love Love Him...
Not that Hillary's much better

Be careful what you wet your pants over, America. From the Catholic News Agency; (comments mine) Obama promises to dedicate presidency to homosexual activism

Washington DC, Mar 1, 2008 / 06:10 pm (CNA).- Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama has promised to use the presidency as a “bully pulpit” for homosexual activism, according to an open letter released on his campaign website. In the
February 28 letter posted under the “LGBT” section of the “People” heading, Senator Obama said he would press for the passage of hate crime laws (IE: Thought Gestapo) and a “fully inclusive” Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would outlaw discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. (Get ready for the courts to order homosexuals to every level of The Church. Oops, we already have that. Ahh... the legacy of Cardinal Bernadine. The gift that keeps on giving.)

"As your President, I will use the bully pulpit to urge states to treat same-sex couples with full equality in their family and adoption laws," Obama said. Obama said he favored civil unions over same-sex marriage laws, but said, "I also believe that the federal government should not stand in the way of states that want to decide on their own how best to pursue equality for gay and lesbian couples..." (How about those states that DON'T "pursue equality"? Oh, I forgot. That's where the Thought Gestapo comes into play. Silly me.)

He pledged to repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” practice that excludes open homosexuals from military service. (Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Let's expose the largest living, breathing blood bank in America to the AIDS virus more than it already is. Real smart, BO)

Obama said winning broad support for his positions was important, saying he would bring his LGBT activism to "skeptical audiences as well as friendly ones." "I will never compromise on my commitment to equal rights for all LGBT Americans. But neither will I close my ears to the voices of those who still need to be convinced. That is the work we must do to move forward together. It is difficult. It is challenging. And it is necessary," he said. (Even if it means sending all you Right Wing Christians fanatics to re-education camps.)
I just can't help but wonder how many "good Catholics" will recieve Holy Communion this fine Sunday morning and also plan on voting Democrat. Probably the same ones who brag about reciving The Eucharist EVERY Sunday... but haven't been to Confession in years. And they brag about that, too.

Those who *need* to be convinced? How is that Freedom?? My word...Obama is getting downright scary. This guy sounds like he's come straight out of the Antichrist role in those creepy "Left Behind" books!

There's no one running for the presidency that's "worth a cuss," pardon the expression; then on the other-hand, there might be!

I am trying to imagine the towering, overwhelming PRIDE that one must have, to boast of neglecting Confession. I'd thought that was reserved for atheists, but I guess not.

Hey, thanks for the note you left on my blog this morning. Apparently my "reputation"/ nickname has been spreading - Michael the organist greeted me that way on Sunday. Well, I'm sure it will blow over.

And no, that was not my boyfriend... far from it (both of them). Aaron came once and just... doesn't like it. Lots of fun issues there... but he said he'd come again at least once. So we'll see... but those are just two of my good friends from Chapel Hill - I've been carpooling with the tall one every week, and the shorter blonde one tagged along this week. He loved it, of course. :) I can always count on Fr P to never disappoint.
