I've posted about His Excellency, Archbishop Malcom Ranjith (pronounced RAN-jeet) in the past. He's been described in the press as "a street fighter" for The Holy Father.
He's also the very same one who stated that "bishops and even cardinals" who misrepresented Summorum Pontificum were "in rebellion against the Pope", as well as "what the Holy Fathers says, has to be obeyed in the Church. If we do not follow this principle, we will allow ourselves to be used as instruments of the devil, and nobody else."
That got me thinking.....

BTW--My pastor remarked that the priests were given copies of Benedicts's "Spirit of the Liturgy" and were supposed to read them. Go New Bishop!

Also - I've been looking all over the internet and I just can't find any sort of justification for (as my friend Dmitri put it) "the backwards Mass" - I know Fr. P said it wasn't in V-2, but I can't find the document that put it into effect. Any ideas?

The main author of the Novus Ordo".
The very first sentence in the article is “We must strip from our Catholic prayers and from the Catholic liturgy everything which can be the shadow of a stumbling block for our separated brethren that is for the Protestants.” - Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, main author of the New Mass, L'Osservatore Romano, March 19, 1965

That's a site that has in it's entiretly, The Ottaviani Intervention", which was a letter by several Churchmen (2 Cardinals and several theologians) who tried in vain to stop Pope Paul VI from promulgating The New Mass.
