I'll Bet He Makes Change In The Collection Plate
Brother can you spare seven dollars and nine and a half cents?
As we all know by now, Joey Hairplugs has deemed it to be "patriotic" for those that make over $250,000 a year to pay even more in taxes.
Gee, wouldn't a flat-tax be the most "patriotic" option? Sheesh... ALL of us doing our fair share, but that's a different post for a different day.
But according to the NY Daily News, over the last ten years, The Plugged One and his wife (filing jointly) made 2.2 million clams, but only gave $3,690 to charity.
Wow, I'm underwhelmed.
I'll give Joey Hairplugs the benefit of the doubt and assume he goes to Mass every Sunday. That averages to 7.095 dollars a week.
Forget about patriotism. Isn't it just a matter of decency that someone who has more money than any of us can even imagine, give more to God's Church than the spare change found in the couch cushions?

Wow, cheesy AND cheap. What a guy. I guess he must be paying extra taxes though, since he's so darned patriotic... /sarcasm off
ReplyDeleteThat's assuming that ALL of what little he did give went to the Church and not other charitable causes...like NARAL or something.
ReplyDeleteI saw a guy at my Church take change from the collection. Seriously.
