Either Get REAL Smart, Or Learn To Love The Hell Outta Some Kung Pao Chicken
Are we living in "The Chinese Century"?

I didn't watch too much of the past Olympics, but I do remember how the reporters couldn't keep themselves from continually pointing out that China is a nation of 1.3 billion people. Keep in mind that America is a nation of 300 million (does that include the 20 million illegals?).

Anyhow, the Chinese outnumber us almost 4 1/2-to-1. That's a frickin' ass-load of Chinamen.

And let's keep in mind that China just completed their first spacewalk; are well on their way to their own space station; and are planning a moon landing in the not too distant future.

With all that in mind, let's not forget that China is also building a Blue Water Fleet, they've stolen our Aegis Battle Systems, and when it comes to their army... as they say Up North, fuhgeddaboudit! China not only has over 7 million in uniform, they also have more than 700 million available for military service. That's double the entire population of the United States of America. And in a totalitarian dictatorship, it's not all that hard to mobilize.

So with allllll that said, it's not too tough to figure out that China doesn't exactly fear America in a land mass war on the Asian continent.

But what do the Chinese fear? What is the only ace up our sleeve? American nukes.

But that won't last for long if we continue to graduate students who can't even read the diploma that was just handed to them... and as we continue to transfer our industrial base to China.

Think about that the next time you purchase something, and it has "Made In China" stamped or sewn on it.

  1. Our family does not buy items "Made in China." It's not that hard, folks, to read the label and put it down if it offends. Paying two cents more for something that keeps jobs at home is well worth the effort. I would rather not send my son's future overseas.

  2. And that fact that our military is mired in the Middle East, and that almost half of the country wont defend America, are marxists and want to "understand" our enemies.

  3. All the more reason we need to stop antagonizing Russia (both politiacal parties equally at fault here.)

Great Britan alwayas had a good policy of allying with the second most formidible continential power against the most powerful, the USA needs to follow that example.

I thoroughly agree. When the old Soviet Union fell we should have said sayonara to NATO and brought our boys home. But ever since then one US president after another, of both parties, as you rightly say, has expanded nato, right up to Russia's borders. And then they act shocked and surprised when Putin gets cozy with Iran or the ChiComs. I can't believe how freaking stupid our political class is. And just when you think they can't get any stupider, they go and top themselves.

War on Terror? Putin has been fighting it for years, in Chechnya. Putin may be an SOB, but if we'd stop offending him so damn much and waxing lyrical about looking into his soul, at least he might be our SOB.

  6. I've been shopping ABC. 'Anywhere but China" for a couple of years. But, sometimes the only place that the gizmo is made is China. And then, I resign myself.

American nukes, my dad spent his military experience in Minot with a slide rule in the cylos. I really really worry that our next generation of military support will be "outsorced" because our kids are not well educated.
