Kidnapped Chaldean Catholic Archbishop Found MurderedAutomatic Sainthood for those who die a martyrs death
I posted quite a few days ago about the kidnapping of Archbishop Rahho. Here's some of the article from AsiaNews.it (Italy);

Mosul (AsiaNews) - The Chaldean archbishop of Mosul is dead. Archbishop Faraj Rahho was kidnapped last February 29 after the Stations of the Cross. His kidnappers gave word of his death, indicating to the mediators where they could recover the body of the 67-year-old prelate. "It is a heavy Cross for our Church, ahead of Easter", Bishop Rabban of Arbil tells AsiaNews in response to the news. Leaders of the Chaldean Church, including Bishop Shlemon Warduni, brought the body to the hospital in Mosul to ascertain the causes, still unknown, of the archbishop's death.
The funeral will be held tomorrow in the nearby city of Karamles. Archbishop Rahho will be buried near Fr Ragheed, his priest and secretary killed by a terrorist brigade on June 3, 2007, while leaving the church after celebrating Mass.
I can only hope that my faith could be as strong as that of Archbishop Saint Paulos Faraj Rahho.

Not the first, and wont be the last as long as people in the West delude themselves into thinking only "extremist muslims" do these things.
The martyrs of this war will increase, and the murderers will continue to coddle favor from the atheists and loony MSM of the West. I really hope someone of influence finally lays down the gauntlet on this and tells it like it is: your religion is false, God does not demand the murder of innocents, and you are no longer welcome in peace-loving and developed nations.
I hope you won't mind that I've put the Archbishop's picture on the side bar of my blog from your blog. May he pray for us that the West opens its collectivly stupid eyes and face reality!
Well, that is very sad indeed. It makes me shiver. In the next 20 years what will become of Catholics, will they convert to other religions or be killed? Will years from now the kids in school will study the Catholic Church like they study mythology? Will they study us like we study the Greeks, Romans and the Knights of the Roundtable?

There's only one way peace will be in the world, through Jesus and the Catholic Church, the sooner people get it, the better :)
It was heroic merely to be a Catholic archbishop in such a part of the world, and to remain so. A martyr for the faith requires no miracles for canonization. (I'm still holding out to St. Thomas More the opportunity to have one to his credit!)
