balancing 15 books on my head while reciting pi to the 100th digit and solving a rubik's cube. oh yes.

JLS said...: My sister solved Rubic's Cube when it came out, and she's not even Catholic. Not only that but she didn't have to put books on her head, as she knew that the information in them would not sink into her brain that way. And she didn't have to recite pi because no one would've believed her.; 9:43 PM

JLS said...: She and her husband and boys are Mormon. Their youngest boy did two tours in Fallujah; he needs the prayer way more than the rest of 'em, thanks. I'm the only known Catholic in my extensively researched family tree. Now, I'm thinking that I might've been able to recite pi; after all it can't be that much harder than learning to sing the alphabet. As for balancing the books on the ol' noggan ... hmn ... I know ... there's just too much hair on top of mine and the books slide right off. Rubic's cube? That is easier if one uses a can of spray paint. I always liked the tale of Alexander the Great who solved the problem of the Gordion Knot which kept the gate closed so that no one could steal the Golden Fleece; so he took out his sword and cut the knot in one slice. BTW, his aide de campe was Aristotle, so I figure they knew what they were doing. And, Former Altar Boy, I sincerely appreciate your prayers for these family members.; 11:59 PM
