The Golfer-in-Chief describes the recent attack as "the Christmas Day Incident" , and he goes on to say that "Yemen, a country grappling with crushing poverty..."
What the hell does the economic situation in Yemen have to do with a damn thing? I guess DingleBarry missed the part in the security briefing that should have informed him that the attacker was from a very wealthy background.
So why even mention the "crushing poverty" of Yemen? We know the answer.
Oh, and it only took him 8 days to even utter the words "al-Qaeda". Wow, I'm underwhelmed.

Following quote is from article ("Yemen in chaos . . .") in today's NYTimes:
"The next year, Mr. Wuhayshi found a deputy — and, perhaps, a rival for leadership: Said Ali al-Shihri, 36, a Saudi citizen. He was released from six years’ detention in Guantánamo Bay in December 2007 to a rehabilitation program run by the Saudis. He disappeared from Saudi Arabia and emerged in Yemen, and he is considered by many to be the rising star of the local movement. Mr. Shihri had traveled to Afghanistan in 2001 and was apparently wounded there, and he was captured crossing back into Pakistan in December of that year."
Query why this fanatic was released from Gitmo??? Was the Bush administration bowing to pressure from leftists like the ACLU???
In light of this information, why is the current administration EVEN THINKING ABOUT closing Gitmo and moving its reprobate-inmates to US soil???
