I suspect it is because of , as I call it, his "Obedient Heart".

San Giuseppe shows us the proper way to act when God calls us to do something. He didn't question it, he didn't analyse it, he didn't pick & chose what parts to obey. As soon as he heard what God told him to do, he did it immediately.

If you were a bunch wanting to rebel against God & destroy the Catholic Church would you wants someone that reminds you that you are being disobedient, a dissedent, rebellious against God's lawful authority, etc?

(See last Sat's post on my blog for more on St Joseph's "Odedient Heart".
http://al007italia.blogspot.com/2008/03/san-giuseppe-obedient-heart.html )

I think it definitely IS time for a revival of devotion to San Giuseppe!! Altar Boy, thanks for doing your part.

VIVA SAN GIUSEPPE!!!!!Alhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07721319432213055605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-40120149371954677022008-03-16T23:33:00.000-05:002008-03-16T23:33:00.000-05:00Because of Holy week--In the Archdiocese of Louisv...Because of Holy week--In the Archdiocese of Louisville, the solemnity of St. Joseph was translated to the 15th. Our parish celebrated, starting with Solemn Vespers, in english and Latin in the Parish Church. Our pastor presided, with our deacons, and two retired priests who attended in choir, and the Archbishop, who attended in choir and gave a solemn blessing at the end. Incense, chant, and a sung Litany of St. Joseph were included.

Then, we had a Parish dinner, with a traditional St. Josephs altar and food collected for the poor.

St. Joseph is the Patron of the Church in Louisville.ignorant redneckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15718783732896413346noreply@blogger.com
