And The Common Thread?
Helmet tip to Mrs NYPD Green

I went to just a few of these alleged hymnals/songbooks to check out some of the titles. Talk about your Novus Ordo Greatest Hits drivel.

Am I the only one who sees a common thread here?
I Can Only Imagine

Here I Am

I Will Choose Christ

We Will Serve the Lord

Be with Me, Lord

I Rejoiced

Change Me

Let Me See Your Face

I Will Lift Up Your Name

What You Gonna Do?

I Will Bow and Be Simple

Every Move I Make

Here I Am to Worship

I Shall Not Want

I Sought the Lord

You Are My God/Here I Am, Lord

I Will Choose Christ

Jesus Loves Me

I Thirst

Our God Is Good

If We Dare to Hope

Be with Me, Lord

I Cannot Tell It All

I Will Choose Christ

We Will Serve the Lord

Keep Me Safe

I Will Have Faith in You

Open My Eyes

Revive Us, O God

I See You

This Is Our Room

We Are the Light

I Could Sing of Your Love Forever

Be with Me, Lord

I Cannot Tell It All

God Is Calling Your Name

I Will Testify
And the emphasis is placed on... what, again?

  2. Don't forget "Sing a New Church into Being," which also depends upon the power of Me, Myself and I.

  7. Another thing to note is that some of those are Protestant Praise and Worship songs. "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever" pops up pretty frequently on those commercials.

(Aside: I read "I Sought the Lord" and the first thing that popped into my head was "I Shot the Sherriff")
