Prayer Request
Storm the Gates of Heaven with prayers
I was just told by family back home in San Diego that my mom has been diagnosed with acute leukemia (AML). From what I understand, that's a pretty aggresive type of cancer. It may have been caught in time... I don't know. I'm suppose to find out more sometime today.
For those of you who have frequented The Lair for at least a year and a few months, you remember what happened not too long ago. And as mom tells me, "son... daddy misses me. It's time for me to go to him".
Just not too quick, OK mom?
St. Peregrine, pray for us.
Holy Mother of God, pray for us.
Lord Jesus, have mercy on us.
I'll pray for your mom. I'll add your intentions to my daily rosary. God bless.
ReplyDeleteAm praying right now.

I'm on board, partner. God bless your Mom.
ReplyDeleteMy father waited until 2 days after my wedding to go to a doctor, as he was feeling terrible for the prior 1 year (he never complained). That day he was diagnosed with AML. He requested that no one call me and tell me while I was on my honeymoon, as he didn't want to ruin it.
ReplyDeleteHe barely got through the first round of chemo, and went into remission. Nine months later it came back, whereupon he started a second round of chemo. Unfortunately the chemo destroyed him. He endured all the pain and suffereing and offered it up the whole time. I know any purgatory he was to experience surely was served on his last days.
AML is a horrible form of cancer, and so I will offer my prayers for your mother, you, and your family.
You and she will be in my prayers, too.
ReplyDeleteMe too. Just did.
ReplyDeleteCount me in :)
ReplyDeleteI will most definitely pray for you and your mom.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for you and your mom and I will add your intentions to my Perpetual Adoration list.
ReplyDeleteYou and your mom are in my unworthy prayers.
ReplyDeleteMay God read your mother's heart and grace her with His Will and the peace in accepting it. This may mean a long struggle for her, but I will pray that she takes solace in knowing her Lord remains with her always.
ReplyDeleteI offered my Rosary for your intentions this morning.
ReplyDeletePrayers for your mom!
