Holy Communion
To receive Communion you must be in communion

Father Tom Euteneuer, the president of Human Life International and the priest who firmly corrected Cafeteria-Catholic Sean Hannity on the air, has a short teaching video (five minutes or less) on the Eucharist that it worth listening to.

Below is a brief synopsis of the main points Fr. Ike says are necessary for one to receive Holy Communion.

Social communion – you must be a member of the Catholic Church.

Spiritual communion – you must be in a state of grace and believe in the Real Presence.

Doctrinal communion – you must believe all that the Catholic Church teaches as true and worthy of belief.

Yes, that is the official USMC flag in the background. Fr. Ike is a former officer candidate of the Marine Corps, which may give you some idea of the kind of priest he is (especially if you heard him make mincemeat of Hannity).

  3. I think every Priest should go through some Marine boot camp training. It would serve them very well. Can you imagine Cardinal Mahoney going through that?!! Being a big fan of the TV show JAG has certainly made me appreciate Marines!!
