Do everything in your power to stop the flow of money to those who trash the teaching of the catholic church. If your parish sends a dime to them, stop giving to the parish until that stops.Gretahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11277481992746685122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-57067031070301167162009-07-03T22:41:27.798-05:002009-07-03T22:41:27.798-05:00Bishop Patrick O'Donoghue retired in May 2009....Bishop Patrick O'Donoghue retired in May 2009. But he has been coming under fire for a while before that as he grew more vocal. Something tells me that while a majority of English Bishops may want him to, he will not go silently into retirement, but continue to be vocal for a long time.Alhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07721319432213055605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-16252751825189453422009-07-03T20:16:24.299-05:002009-07-03T20:16:24.299-05:00This is an encouraging sign and glad this guy has ...This is an encouraging sign and glad this guy has the testicular forbearance to speak out against theological criminals.

Don't give up on England yet, Marine.

I think B16 has something up his sleeve with the "Year of the Priest" thing. The patron of priests is St. John Vianney (1786-1859).

English Bishop Ullatorne was so distressed over the status of the faith in the Land of Rotten Teeth that he went to see Vianney (in France, after French Revolution), who was famous for his prophetic insight. This is what the holy Vianney said to Ullathorne on May 14th, 1854: "Monseigneur, I believe that the Church in England will be restored to its splendour."

As for the USA or Canada... well that is very much open to question. There is an unverified report that the Blessed Virgin said "poor Canada" to Sister Lucia at Fatima, Portugal in 1917.

TH2 Trivia: the term "Merry Ole England" is derived from "Mary's England", as in Our Lady.TH2https://www.blogger.com/profile/02375386482765377541noreply@blogger.com
