Do the loons at "Diverse & Progressive Roman Catholic communit[ies]" ever read the Bible? If they do, they probably fast-read the part where Jesus said, "Those who want to come with me must say no to the things they want, pick up their crosses, and follow Me." 'Guess being lead to Calvary isn't comfy. They need not fear anyone..except their Creator! If there was any doubt that what Bishop Nickless said about exorcizing the "Spirit of V2" this should lay them to rest.

As Jesus said, by their "fruit" you shall know them.

Ade may be right about what happenned back in the days of the Protestant Revolt/Reformation, but this still reminds me a lot of what occurred in the era of Arianism when Bishops openly rebelled against orthodox Catholc doctrine. Maybe a combo of both?Alhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07721319432213055605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-4420171819908045092009-11-26T22:29:26.217-05:002009-11-26T22:29:26.217-05:00Ick.Ick.TCNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12084691508359621184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-72085631663170882532009-11-26T16:35:51.838-05:002009-11-26T16:35:51.838-05:00That "church" looks like a daycare cente...That "church" looks like a daycare center!Michelle Theresehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16185810008704682978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-28696466163668094712009-11-26T12:47:09.188-05:002009-11-26T12:47:09.188-05:00There is so much of this crap going on in the Chur...There is so much of this crap going on in the Church today, it seems a waste of time even to post a comment. But what the hey! I will open my big mouth anyway.

Two observations:

1. We Catholics should by now have a keen appreciation for how the Protestant Reformation (or Revolt) came about, even though the specific circumstances in the 20th/21st Centuries are a bit different from the 16th Century, but only a bit IMHO.

2. Just like the 16th Century, we are again faced with poor Episcopal leadership. Imagine what the state of the U.S. Armed forces would be if the overwhelming majority of commissioned officers and NCOs are worthless as leaders.

This bishop should sh*t can this priest and all other priests who act like him. We the laity can survive without a parish priesthood if absolutely necessary, except for the diocesan bishop who if necessary can consecrate the Holy Eucharist, then have his deacons (if they aren't also worthless louts) or even instituted acolytes (men) distribute Holy Communion on Sundays to the sheep in the pews. Of course this requires that we have a bishop who is worthy of his high office.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Cavey, the rest of the cavers and their families, those who frequent the Cave . . . and passers by too.Adeodatus49https://www.blogger.com/profile/16574448503953046867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-80669960761023810182009-11-26T12:06:34.953-05:002009-11-26T12:06:34.953-05:00Excellent building design! Remove all the furnishings and change the stained glass, and it'd be perfect for a hunting lodge ... or games room with bar for the barracks.JLShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12894953406900161276noreply@blogger.com
