DRE Stretchpants thinks we have to "meet the children where they are," and wrings her hands because "some" (meaning me) want to "push them too hard." Who knew that teaching the seven deadlies and corporal and spiritual works was pushing poor little Johnny "too hard."

It's really bad when the pastor isn't willing to even show up on Wednesday evening. After four years of trying to teach, I have yet to have a single parent or priest enter my classroom.

I do it because I know if I can reach at least one kid every year, then I have done the best that I can to defend Holy Mother Church. I know the Lord has sent me at least one future holy priest, and who knows about the rest?

I think, also we must be more stubborn than the fruitcakes, folks. If I can stick it out, you can too. You needn't be rude or threaten, but you don't need to offer any support to these useless millstones, either. Do what you can, be an example, lead who you can, and pray very hard.

At least, that's my opinion, such as it is.TCNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12084691508359621184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-12696204981152802552009-02-07T13:23:00.000-05:002009-02-07T13:23:00.000-05:00I had to move to find a reverent and properly cele...I had to move to find a reverent and properly celebrated Ordinary Form. and it's in a parish with the Extraordinary form as well.

I shoulda just took notes, looked things up and wrote letters, except I wasn't sure that the priests in my old parish actually were consecrating the eucharist--that whole matter, form and intent thing, while they espoused transsignification.ignorant redneckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15718783732896413346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-11786211564408135512009-02-07T11:57:00.000-05:002009-02-07T11:57:00.000-05:00Listen to Hail3N1. If priest are doing anything wrong (and that includes following the GIRM for the plain "ordinary form" or allowing error to be sung or taught, then call them on it. Prevat2 is one of my heroes in that regard. He's a convert but heaven help the priest that messes up, because Prevat will waiting for him at the door of the church.

Gramps is right. If you keep supporting parishes that are not loyal to the Magisterium. When out bishop entered into a questionable settlement of the mostly homosexual attacks on pre-teen boys, I quit donating to my parish becauase I knbew a portion of it went to the diocese. Instead, the entirety of my weekly offering was sent to FSSP to train traditional priests.

Dallas,
"...many of our young have been indoctrinated with a watered down, cafeteria view of Catholicism. It goes beyond the pulpit though . . . into the CCD classrooms and catholic schools as well."
You're absolutely right. And why did that happen? Becuase the so-called "leaders," i.e. the pastors, abandoned their role as protector of the flock. (Hey, Padre, you may not have biological children, but why the hell do you think we call you "Father?" Ask any father in your "flock" if he wouldn't die to protect his children from harm. Taking a vow of celibacy doesn't mean you're a eunuch. Look at Archbishop Burke or Bishop Chaput -- they frickin' clank when they walk! Go on a retreat and get a shot of spiritual testosterone, then come back and tell the "litigurical committee" and the CCD instructors that the Holy Spirit has told you there are going to be major changes in your parish.)Former Altar Boyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08751535074291354836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-60957545006557438442009-02-07T04:32:00.000-05:002009-02-07T04:32:00.000-05:00I keep thinking that our adopting "We're ...I keep thinking that our adopting "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister as our theme song would be appropriate, given that Sr. Miriam Therese MacGillis, O.P is about as twisted a sister as they come.

Yes, this gang is out to destroy the Catholic Church. & yes we must stand up to them. & no matter how bad it may seem for now, in th end, we are on the right side, God's side.

Unfortunately for them, they have failed to learn from 2000 years of Church history that they are doomed to failure. While they are giving us a little bit of agita now, in the end the True Church will triumph & they may find their new digs a little bit (lot actually) warmer than they like or expected.Alhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07721319432213055605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-58963152890622007592009-02-07T01:09:00.000-05:002009-02-07T01:09:00.000-05:00What strikes at my heart is the fact that so many ...What strikes at my heart is the fact that so many of our young have been indoctrinated with a watered down, cafeteria view of Catholicism. Because I think you are purposefully scandlizing these souls that have been entrusted to you. How do you spell your name because I need to get it right when I send my letter to your Bishop and the Holy See! Meanwhile I will pray for your conversion"

Say it with sincerity, and do pray for that Priest.Simplex Virhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10794134630791552159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-76148143184858866422009-02-06T22:33:00.000-05:002009-02-06T22:33:00.000-05:00One more thought. Your money has been used to pay off suits for protected sex offenders for over 40 years many of whom were known deviants by the bishops. I also believe that many of the bishops are deviants as well and homosexual. Giving money without change is like giving drugs to a drug addict. We are enabling them to continue to dissent, to abuse children, and to cover it up.grampshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15458042134293544734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-49954041406243394962009-02-06T22:28:00.000-05:002009-02-06T22:28:00.000-05:00I agree 1000 percent and indeed do drive 30 minute...I agree 1000 percent and indeed do drive 30 minutes to go to a church where I can be comfortable will follow the teaching of the Church and do so with joy.

I also do not think things will change until those who pay the bills going to church every week revolt in a very meaningful manner. The message needs to be as close to national as possible. What I suggest is that we simply stop giving to any dioceses that has or supports those in dissent. This starts with the bishop who needs to stop dissenting and also stop priest in his area from doing so as well. That includes taking seriously the Catholic Universities in his area. If enough refuse to give any funding to them, they will have to change fast. Each week, send the donation to a dioceses noted for their close following of Church teaching. In the envelope for donations in your parish, put in a simple note on where and why your donation went elsewhere. Of course you do not have to go to mass there, but can drop it off or mail it. Someone else I talked with suggested giving a dime each week to make them have to track it for tax reasons which end up costing more than a dime a week.

I believe until something like this happens, they will continue to take actual practicing Catholics for granted and listening to the ObamaCaths who seldom see inside a church.grampshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15458042134293544734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18853193.post-38543738486067799762009-02-06T19:57:00.000-05:002009-02-06T19:57:00.000-05:00"Don't let them pimp out our faith." Let them know we're not the ignorant buffoons who take in all the sewage they throw out! Stand up like true soldiers and defend our rights as Catholics. These liberal nut-jobs have gone far too long in leading and pushing their lambs off the cliff because of their own faithless, liberal, contaminating poison that lies within the very core of their being. And they are very happy that way. STAND UP, SPEAK UP, and FIGHT for the return of the True Faith. Be an example, a non-fearing Soldier of Christ.
