NY Times prays to God that Obama gets "lucky"

Well known Obama lap-dog, NY Times columnist Thomas Friedman today waxed (and worshipped) poetically of Dear Leader.

Counting the headline, Friedman stated four times that he wants Obama to be "lucky" when it comes to Libya. Friedman even went so far as to ask for Divine Intervention when it comes to any future Oba-luck.

Senator Obama: The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.

Is it time for the Gentler Sex to serve in Combat Arms?

The pool of eligible males that even meet the basic prerequisites to serve in the Armed Forces shrinks more and more as the days turn into years.

As already cited, 75% of American youth are ineligible to serve. The three main reasons: fat, stupid and lazy.

But I digress... as the pool shrink and the days turn into years, the call for women to serve in Combat Arms (Infantry, Tanks, Arty) grows ever louder.

And yes, there have been women killed in combat situations, and that's tragic.

But let's be clear, those ladies weren't there as grunts, tankers or cannon-cockers. They were in those situations as truck drivers, supply clerks, admin clerks.

Those gals were in combat situations by accident, not by design.

Physically Capable?

Of course, the obvious objection is that women simply don't have the physical ability to serve in combat arms. That's because they don't. Period.

Daffy Gadaffi threatens commercial airliners

The man who looks like Carlos Santana, dresses like Lady Gaga, loves Jews as much as Mel Gibson, and as even-keeled as Charlie Sheen, has threatened civilian air traffic as well as the Mediterranean shipping lanes.

In an interview with The Telegraph of London, Gadaffi said that any use of foreign military power against him would result in "all air and maritime traffic in the Mediterranean Sea" as targets for a counter attack.

Ordinariate Watch: 1 in 5 converts in England & Wales headed for AO

The Anglican Ordinariate, or more correctly, The Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, is taking off better than anyone could have imagined. And the Bishops of England and Wales are smiling about it through clenched teeth.

The Catholic News Agency is reporting that one in five convert this Lenten Season will be Ordinariate bound.

900 prospective members of the new ordinariate, including 61 former Anglican clergy. Five former Anglican bishops have already become Catholic priests.

Like Steyn says, one of the children, 12-year-old Tamar came home to find both her parents, Ruth and Udi Fogel, both of her brothers Yoav (11) and Elad (four), and her three-month old sister Hadas murdered in their beds.

As if that wasn't filthy and disgusting enough, they had their throats slashed and been stabbed through the heart.

Zwartz has his panties in a wad over a confidential survey The Church has sent to various clerics that, according to Zwartz, may be in line for consideration to be elevated to the ecclesiastical rank of bishop.

I've been devoted to Our Lady of Akita for many years.

It is indeed terrible that it took a horrible earthquake and an even more horrible tsunami for the Catholic media to even mention Akita, Japan.

Possibly, Akita has largely been ignored because of the message itself.

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church, in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord."

Why Catholicism desperately needs the Anglican Ordinariate and the SSPX

Our soon-to-convert brethren aren't Protestant infiltrators. We already have enough of those in many, many Chanceries, rectories and convents.

Case in point: Australian Bishop Pat Power, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Canberra is threatening resignation because, as he sees it, The Church is pulling back from the reforms promised by Vatican II.

Powers is calling for a "total systematic reform" of the Catholic Church, including a reconsideration of "the authoritarian nature of the Church, compulsory celibacy for the clergy, the participation of women in the Church, the teaching on sexuality in all aspects."

He has also called an open discussion of women's ordination.

There a word for people like Powers. They're called Protestants.

Three short days ago, it was announced that Joe Biden was tapped by Barack Obama to broker a deal with Congressional Republicans on the federal budget.

But we now find out that instead of working on any kind of budget agreement, Biden will be skipping town tomorrow on a five day trip to Finland, Russia and Moldova.

Many Anglicans world-wide, and Episcopalians in the United States have questioned the rationale and legitimacy of the decisions by those in power to allow women priests, homosexual civil unions/marriage, homosexual clergy, and the overall embrace of militant liberalism and secularism.
