NY Times prays to God that Obama gets "lucky"

Well known Obama lap-dog, NY Times columnist Thomas Friedman today waxed (and worshipped) poetically of Dear Leader.

Counting the headline, Friedman stated four times that he wants Obama to be "lucky" when it comes to Libya. Friedman even went so far as to ask for Divine Intervention when it comes to any future Oba-luck.

Looking for Luck in Libya

That’s why I am proud of my president, really worried about him, and just praying that he’s lucky.

Which is why, most of all, I hope President Obama is lucky.

Dear Lord, please make President Obama lucky.

Obama passes on throwing out First Pitch at National's home opener

The man who had time to appear on "The View"...

The man who had time to appear on ESPN with his NCAA basketball brackets...

The man who shot more rounds of golf in his first year as president that Dubya did in eight full years...

The man who decided to attack Libya without so much as even discussing it with Congressional leaders...

That same man has decided to pass on throwing out the ceremonial First Pitch of the Washington National's home opener this Thursday.

"NO BLOOD FOR OIL!!" Euro-Version 2.0 Oh, no Iranian nukes, either. Did everyone hear the collective nation-wide snickering last night right around sunset? Turns out we're bombing Libya for "humanitarian" purposes. Yeah, those B-2 Bombers must be dropping tactical loads of shawarmas, with Marine Corps Harriers supporting the missions with deee-lish side orders of baba ghanoush and falafel. OK, all joking aside. If this really was a military intervention of a humanitarian nature, we would have already killed Muammar Qadaffi. Period. You don't cure someone with esophageal cancer by giving them hot tea with lemon and honey. I don't have an MD or anything as grand as that, but I'm pretty sure the proper course of action is to attack the cancer itself... right? Read more...

Why Being An Illegal Alien Is A Mortal Sin

Two Catholic Bishops, two Catholic Dioceses, two different interpretations of Catholic teaching.

On one hand, we have Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles stating; "Our current policies of enforcement — workplace raids, detentions, and deportations — are a humanitarian tragedy. We are destroying families in the name of enforcing our laws." Then we have Bishop Giovanni I. Martinelli of Tripoli, Libya stating; “What worries me is the situation of African refugees, who continue to knock on our doors, hoping that the Church can help them get to Europe. But this is not our task.” Now To The Heart Of The Matter...

I'm sure we all remember the 10 Commandments.

For my fellow Catholics, I'm equally sure we recall what constitutes mortal sin. For the "progressives", allow me to refresh your memory;

Coalition of the Illing

Looks as if Obama's faux-coalition is falling apart at the seams. • The Germans (one of our NATO pals) have announced that two of their frigates as well as their sole AWACS surveillance aircraft in the Mediterranean will be withdrawn back to der Vaterland if Obama's War comes under NATO command.

• The Italians (yet another NATO buddy) have threatened to "take back" their airbases used for Obama's War unless NATO takes over.

• The Brits (you guessed, a NATO partner) have admitted that Obama's War could last up to 30 years.

White liberal lectures Black man on bigotry

While subbing on the Fox News program The O'Reilly Factor, noted liberal pundit Juan Williams interviewed Occidental College professor Caroline Heldman.

During the course of the interview, it was discussed if anyone, either Black or White, would inwardly feel nervous if they walked by a Black man (or a group of) late at night. Juan Williams: "With the amount of Black-on-Black crime in America, I get nervous, and I'm a Black man! So, wait a second..." (Williams is interrupted.)

Caroline Heldman: "Well, there we go again, Juan. I would find that to be a racial profiling... it's a bigoted comment."

Candidate Obama contradicts the current Obama
Congress? I don't need no stinkin' Congress!!

In an interview with The Boston Globe's Charlie Savage, December, 2007; (Emphasis mine) Charlie Savage: In what circumstances, if any, would the president have constitutional authority to bomb Iran without seeking a use-of-force authorization from Congress? (Specifically, what about the strategic bombing of suspected nuclear sites -- a situation that does not involve stopping an IMMINENT threat?)

Senator Obama: The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.

As Commander-in-Chief, the President does have a duty to protect and defend the United States. In instances of self-defense, the President would be within his constitutional authority to act before advising Congress or seeking its consent. History has shown us time and again, however, that military action is most successful when it is authorized and supported by the Legislative branch. It is always preferable to have the informed consent of Congress prior to any military action.

What would be a European Socialist Secular-Humanist's worst nightmare come true?

The graying of Europe? Of course not. That's what they've been striving towards for years.

Even more European nations going broke? Puh-leeze. As long as they have that Gutenberg thingamajiggy, life is good.

How about the further Islamization of the continent? You've got to be kidding.

More specifically, a Christian Re-Awakening in Europe.

Is it time for the Gentler Sex to serve in Combat Arms?

The pool of eligible males that even meet the basic prerequisites to serve in the Armed Forces shrinks more and more as the days turn into years.

As already cited, 75% of American youth are ineligible to serve. The three main reasons: fat, stupid and lazy.

But I digress... as the pool shrink and the days turn into years, the call for women to serve in Combat Arms (Infantry, Tanks, Arty) grows ever louder.

And yes, there have been women killed in combat situations, and that's tragic.

But let's be clear, those ladies weren't there as grunts, tankers or cannon-cockers. They were in those situations as truck drivers, supply clerks, admin clerks.

Those gals were in combat situations by accident, not by design.

Physically Capable?

Of course, the obvious objection is that women simply don't have the physical ability to serve in combat arms. That's because they don't. Period.

Dead Jewish kids? *Shrug* So what?

Mark Steyn of National Review Online has published a hard hitting, no nonsense article on the recent terrorist slaughter of the Fogel family.

Like Steyn says, one of the children, 12-year-old Tamar came home to find both her parents, Ruth and Udi Fogel, both of her brothers Yoav (11) and Elad (four), and her three-month old sister Hadas murdered in their beds.

As if that wasn't filthy and disgusting enough, they had their throats slashed and been stabbed through the heart.

Let this sink in deep... a 3-year-old baby girl had her throat slashed.

And the Palestinian response? Party time.

Candy and pastry were passed out on celebration of the deaths of these Zionist pig-apes.

Australia declares war on The Vatican?

First it was San Francisco that decided to go to war with The Catholic Church, now it's certain Aussies that are none too thrilled with The Holy See.

This is what it takes for the Message of Akita to hit the Catholic media?

I've been devoted to Our Lady of Akita for many years.

Unfortunately, I've been in the minority. A very, very small minority.

It is indeed terrible that it took a horrible earthquake and an even more horrible tsunami for the Catholic media to even mention Akita, Japan.

Possibly, Akita has largely been ignored because of the message itself.

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church, in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord."

For more than a few priests, bishops and cardinals, the warnings that Christ sent His mother to give to us, just may hit a wee bit too close to home for them.

Why Catholicism desperately needs the Anglican Ordinariate and the SSPX

Our soon-to-convert brethren aren't Protestant infiltrators. We already have enough of those in many, many Chanceries, rectories and convents.

Case in point: Australian Bishop Pat Power, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Canberra is threatening resignation because, as he sees it, The Church is pulling back from the reforms promised by Vatican II.

Powers is calling for a "total systematic reform" of the Catholic Church, including a reconsideration of "the authoritarian nature of the Church, compulsory celibacy for the clergy, the participation of women in the Church, the teaching on sexuality in all aspects."

He has also called an open discussion of women's ordination.

There a word for people like Powers. They're called Protestants.

The national and local status of the Anglican Ordinariate

Many Anglicans world-wide, and Episcopalians in the United States have questioned the rationale and legitimacy of the decisions by those in power to allow women priests, homosexual civil unions/marriage, homosexual clergy, and the overall embrace of militant liberalism and secularism.

More than a few of the Anglican Communion's clergy and laity have taken advantage of Pope Benedict XVI invitation for Christian unity under the auspices of the Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus.

Under the provisions of the Anglican Ordinariate, the Anglicans/Episcopalians will retain their bishops, priests, Book of Common Prayer, as well as their liturgy.

The traditional Anglican liturgy is very similar to the Catholic Tridentine Latin Mass, except that it has a mix of Latin and Elizabethan English.
