Russian Orthodox leader calls for a united Christian front against secularism

Russian Orthodox Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev, head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations, is calling for a united Christian front against the growing threat of militant secularism against traditional Christian values.

In an interview Monday, the Metropolitan stated; "I often say that today there is a bad need for a 'strategic alliance' between Orthodox believers and Catholics, members of the ancient eastern Churches, traditional Protestants, that is to say all those who defend true Christian values – the family, children's upbringing, indissolubility of marriage, the value of human life from inception until death." Good idea, but I'd leave the Protestants out of it. They're part of the problem that we face today, not part of the solution.

What's a "Traditional Protestant Church"?

Too many of us still want nothing to do with the MP because they don't trust them.
