Merry Christmas - Marine Corps StyleMarines and Christmas - always an interesting mix.
Keep in mind that the vast majority of Marines in this particular combat zone better known as Afghanistan, aren't even "mature" enough to buy a beer in any bar, pub or tavern in The States.
But thank God they're "mature" enough to dispatch to their infernal reward, those who wish to visit violence upon us here in our nice warm homes back here in the good ol' US of A.
So here's to those 18, 19 and 20-year-old Jyreens (aw, hell... ALL OF 'EM!) that have been keeping the wolf from the door since 1775.
With that said, Merry Christmas, America. Sleep well - your Marine Corps is on guard.

Merry Blessed Christmas to all of you as well! And too our troops!
Now a request for prayers:
We didn't have Christmas Eve or Christmas mass here. We didn't get to have mass on the last Sunday of Advent either. Orkney Catholics are in dire straights. I've posted about it on my Catholic Orkney blog ~ can you please share this situation and spread the word because we need so many prayers.

This was a very painful Christmas.
Thank you.
Merry Christmas to all you guys, too!
Puer Natus est nobis!
