Archbishop Burke lays it on the line

It's being reported by (emphasis mine) that while speaking at the Human Life International World Prayer Congress Saturday, Archbishop Raymond Burke received sustained applause when he noted that Catholic politicians who support abortion are required to repent publicly.

Speaking to pro-life leaders from 45 nations, the Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura (the highest Vatican court) also noted that those who recognize the scandal caused by such public, dissident Catholics assist the Church in repairing a serious breach, but are nevertheless often ridiculed for it.

Achibishop Burke stressed that “both bishops and the faithful” must be obedient to the Magisterium – which he described as the teaching of Christ as handed down through the successor of Peter and the bishops in union with him. “When the shepherds of the flock are obedient to the Magisterium, entrusted to their exercise, then surely the members of the flock grow in obedience and proceed with Christ along the way of salvation,” he said. “If the shepherd is not obedient the flock easily gives way to confusion and error.”

Good post, Vir. I had forgotten about Archbishop Burke's recent article, "Catholic Orthodoxy: Antidote against the Culture of Death."

Yes, in my comment at the aforementioned link I did focus on Democrat Catholic politicians because they are in the majority of those who are guilty of supporting abortion and homosexual filth. My comments would however apply equally well to RINO Rudy Guiliani. But right now we have to get these wicked people out of office this November 3rd. I feel pessimistic about our Bishops ever doing the same kind of purging in the Church, but maybe with the working of the Holy Spirit I can be proven happily wrong yet again.

Good luck with that self-described "ardent Catholic," Parrafin Princessa.
No, no. I meant to say the BotoxBiddy. Now, that's not right. It's the Empress of the House.
Oh wait. I remember, now. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House.
