What to do with Ground Zero

It's being reported that the former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has suggested that Ground Zero in New York City be declared a National Military Battlefield to bring to an end the debate of whether or not a mosque should be built there.

Gingrich stated that "More Americans were killed at the World Trade Center than in any place in the United States since the Civil War."

I'll go one better than the Congressman... much like the U.S.S. Arizona, have Ground Zero declared a National Cemetery. I'm quite sure than many of the ashes remain on site.

Newt's idea is good, and Caveman's is even better. Thanks!!

If GZ is declared a National Military Battlefield or a National Cemetery, I hope the government will have the guts to state that the people who died there died because of a Muslim terror attack. Anything less would be an insult to those who perished there.

Sorry guys, but I'll put money that the damned Mosque get built there before any memorial for the dead goes there! Wish I was wrong :^{(
