Pelosi calls for investigating those in "opposition to the mosque" at Ground Zero
In an op/ed piece by Penny Young Nance of FoxNews.com, she reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling for an investigation into those who oppose a mosque to be built at Ground Zero.
As Nance puts it, "For Ms. Pelosi it seems there is nothing the government shouldn't investigate, control or inject itself into as long as it serves the interests of liberal elites."
Never mind that the overwhelming majority of 9/11 victim families opposes building the mosque so close to such hallowed ground. Ms. Pelosi evidently believes these families have formed some kind of vast right wing conspiracy to inflict sensitivity upon those who would kow-tow to a controversial Muslim cleric.
"There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some," Ms. Pelosi said in comments captured by Kerry Picket of the Washington Times' Water Cooler blog. "And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque is being funded."

Her whole view is so silly it would be laughable were she not so powerful. Assuming it is not a misprint, she can't even utter a grammatical sentence: "And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque is being funded."
Oh please Nancy Pelosi, investigate me! Please! Put me in front of one of those inquisition committees which the House of Representatives periodically runs. I am just dying to tell you what our Bishops won't: repent or go to hell.

Maybe it's high time to quote Wisdom 6:1-9 again:

With all respect, Madame Speaker, it is already a political issue. The suicide pilots who made it so by an act of war against America.

Well, here's another example of why I no longer trust the left, and why I left it.
Ms. Pelosi wants to investigate Americans for excercising their right to free speech. She knows that there will be no criminal charges filed: the call for investigation is simply an attempt at intimidation.
The Dems and the Proggies despise truely free speech. they also despise grass roots organizations. That's why, despite their claims of "grass roots" and "free dissenting speech" the various progressive organizations all sound alike, speaking and walking in lock step to the beat of an unspoken consensus.
They are so fascistic that they frighten me--which is why I'm saving for a new 2d ammendment toy!

Kevin I tried to leave a comment at "Examiner" about Mrs. Pelosi and how she'd like to "investigate" dissenters in the Mosque debate but had "triggered a Profanity warning" or something like that. Was asked to remove the offensive word which was...Pelosi!
