Comparing first terms
According to Gallup.com, during the period of May 7-9, 2004 (14th quarter), Bush's job approval during his first term as President hit an all time low of 46%.
According to the same source, during the August 12-14, 2010 (7th quarter) time frame, the job approval of Barack Hussein Obama has sunk to an all time low (so far) of 43%.
During the same period of Bush's first term, his overall job approval rating stood at 65%.
