Did You Know The Empire State Building Will Display The Colors Of Communism?
Gee, I wonder why?

Interesting op/ed piece from Tommy Seno; (Emphasis mine)

Top 10 Reasons to Mark the Communist Takeover of China

"Tank Man," who stood in front of the tanks at Tianaman Square, is a better magician than David Copperfield, having made himself disappear now for 20 years.

The Empire State Building will blaze red and yellow tonight to “commemorate” the 60th anniversary of the founding of the communist nation.

Here are the top 10 reasons to commemorate the People’s Republic of China:

10. Governments established with the help of the Soviet Union have always made people smile.
9. Communist chic.
8. From mannish female Olympic swimmers to Maria Sharapova – now that’s some Communist progress right there!
7. Mao's “Great Leap Forward” created a famine that killed only 30 million people which isn’t a lot when you have more than a billion.
6. "Tank Man," who stood in front of the tanks at Tianaman Square, is a better magician than David Copperfield, having made himself disappear now for 20 years.
5. One party government and population controls are a New York east coast liberal’s dream!
4. After reading the New York Times, having the ability to shut down the press like they do in China is sometimes my dream!
3. Death Panel envy.
2. Atheist chicks are sexy.

And the number one reason to commemorate the People's Republic's bloody takeover of China...

1. American taxpayers have to suck up to their landlord!
Good grief.
The Ten Commandments According to Obama.
Joyfully stolen from D'offus of the Big Doofus

I. Thou shalt have no God in America, except for me. For we are no longer a Christian nation and, after all, I am the chosen One. (And like God, I do not have a birth certificate.)

II. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, unless it is my face carved on Mt. Rushmore.

III. Thou shalt not utter my middle name in vain (or in public). Only I can say Barack Hussein Obama.

IV. Remember tax day, April 15th, to keep it holy.

V. Honour thy father and thy mother until they are too old and sick to care for. They will cost our public-funded health-care system too much money.

VI. Thou shalt not kill, unless you have an unwanted, unborn baby. For it would be an abomination to punish your daughter with a baby.

VII. Thou shalt not commit adultery if you are conservative or a Republican. Liberals and Democrats are hereby forgiven for all of their infidelity and immorality, but the careers of conservatives will be forever destroyed.

VIII. Thou shalt not steal, until you've been elected to public office. Only then is it acceptable to take money from hard-working, successful citizens and give it to those who do not work, illegal immigrants, or those who do not have the motivation to better their own lives.

IX. Thou shalt not discriminate against thy neighbor unless they are conservative, Caucasian, or Christian.

X. Thou shalt not covet because it is simply unnecessary. I will place such a heavy tax burden on those that have achieved the American Dream that, by the end of my term as President, nobody will have any wealth or material goods left for you to covet.
The Miracle of Our Lady Of Akita
Please keep this in mind, and pray for our priests

The apparition that no one wants to talk about.
From The Blessed Mother to Sister Agnes Sasagawa - October 13, 1973

"My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior."

After a short silence:

"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests."

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

"The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them"

"With courage, speak to your superior. He will know how to encourage each one of you to pray and to accomplish works of reparation."

Didn't I Warn Bishop Cordileone?
You knew it was only a matter of time

Don't you love it when things fall into place? Not all that long ago I was somewhat chastised for using the word "faggot". I've also warned the new bishop of the Diocese of Oakland, California, His Excellency Bishop Salvatore Cordileone would be back-stabbed by his own people.

Try not to vomit in your mouth (even a little) as you read this article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine)
Queering the Rosary
“Relational Mysteries” Prayed at Berkeley’s Newman Center

When Oakland’s Bishop Salvatore Cordileone visited Berkeley’s Jesuit School of Theology at the Graduate Theological Union on September 22, he was greeted by approximately 20 protestors. The protestors were seminarians and faculty from the theological union’s schools. The bishop was there to commemorate the merging of the Jesuit school with Santa Clara University. The protesters were there to oppose Bishop Cordileone for his defense of natural marriage.

According to the QueerToday.com website, protestors included Rev. Dr. Rebecca Parker, president of the Starr King (Unitarian Universalist) School of Ministry; Rev. Roland Stringfellow, the organizer of the GTU’s Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies; Rev. Sanna Reinholtzen, a Lutheran minister; and
graduate student Eugene McMullan, apparently a Catholic.

According to the Bay Area Reporter, Mr. McMullan is the founder of Catholics for Marriage Equality. There is more than one organization with that name; presumably they mean the one in the bay area. On August 13, the BAR published an article called “Pray for Equality Outside St. Mary‘s.“ The article began: “The recently formed Catholics for Marriage Equality will be holding a prayer vigil outside St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco Saturday, August 15, which is the feast of the Assumption. Organizer Eugene McMullan noted that on the Assumption, the Catholic Church celebrates Mary being bodily raised into heaven. Catholics for Marriage Equality will be praying the rosary while contemplating the Relational Mysteries.”

Many Catholics, even devout ones, may be excused for never having heard of the “Relational Mysteries.” That’s because they exist nowhere except on the agenda of homosexual activists. According to the June 2009 issue of “Impact“, the international newsletter of the Metropolitan Community Church, under the heading “Queering the Rosary,” the “relational mysteries” were devised by Mr. McMullan.

A crystal-clear description of purpose of the “Relational Mysteries” was given in the online calendar of the New Spirit/MCC Church in Berkeley. The entry was for an event held on Sunday, May 31, 2009, and reads: “GTU doctoral student Eugene McMullan and Reverend Jim Mitulski will lead a two part class on "Praying the Queer Rosary," based on stories from the bible which depict Queer Families or Relationships. The class will include a brief history of the rosary, introduction to Catholic devotions, sharing of stories, and praying together.”

The MCC is an overtly homosexual activist church; that was its founding purpose, so it is not surprising to see such an event held there. Unfortunately, the homosexual activists have managed to introduce the “relational mysteries” into at least one Catholic parish as well. The September 13 web bulletin of Berkeley’s Newman Hall - Holy Spirit Parish announces: “Praying the Rosary in solidarity with LGBT Catholics. Join us Sept. 17, 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the lounge as we explore the Relational Mysteries: Fidelity—Ruth's pledge to Naomi (Ruth 1:16-18); Grief—The parting of David and Jonathan (I Sam 20:35-42); Intercession—Esther intercedes for her people (Est 4:9-5:2); Restoration—the raising of Lazarus (John 11:38-44); and Discipleship—the two encounter Christ on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). The group will be co-facilitated by Mike Campos and Eugene McMullan, Ph.D. students at the Graduate Theological Union.”

One may ask just how these biblical events fit in to the homoactivist agenda. The process is defined as “eisegesis” (the interpretation of a text by reading into it one's own ideas) as opposed to “exegesis,” and it seems to be an ecumenical practice among religious homosexual activists. For example, the relationship between Ruth and Naomi will be interpreted as a lesbian one. The relationship between Saul, David, and Jonathon was interpreted by Episcopal Reverend John Kirkley, one of the nominees to be the next Episcopal suffragan bishop of Los Angeles, as a “Biblical Love Triangle.” The raising of Lazarus was the subject of a homily at San Francisco’s Most Holy Redeemer by Fr. Donal Godfrey, the executive director of University Ministry at USF. He titled his homily
“The Call to Come Out.”

If God doesn't do something soon to diocese such as this, He'll owe Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.

Quote of the Week
The difference between a "leader" and a "presider"

When asked why the priest faces the altar during the Extraordinarory Form (i.e., the traditional Latin Mass), Father Gerard Saguto, FSSP, pastor of the new Latin Mass-only, Latin Mass all the time, parish is Seattle, replied:

"The same reason a bus driver faces the road and not the passengers: The priest is leading the congregation to the Mount of Calvary."

Until the bishop established this new "personal" parish, the TLM had been held for year at a hotel in downtown Seattle, which I posted about back in October 2007.
Judas And The Jackass
...And they're all Democrats. What a shocker

Helemt tip to the good folks at OneNationUnderGod.org

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... the Democratic Party is evil. In every way, shape and form. Those people are simply evil. And as I've said before, there are alleged Catholics who place the salvation of their souls in the very same Democratic Party, and essentially told God's Church to go to hell.

The latest example is some of the article from OneNationUnderGod.org; (Emphasis mine)

Thirty-five Catholic lawmakers cosponsor bill to Repeal Defense of Marriage Act

New York Congressman introduces bill to eliminate protections for traditional marriage in the United States which would lead to litigation forcing states to recognize same-sex marriages

The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) defines marriage as a "legal union between one man and one woman for purposes of all federal laws, and provides that states need not recognize a marriage from another state if it is between persons of the same sex." Thirty-nine states have passed legislation and constitutional amendments to protect marriage as the union between one man and one woman.

Last week Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-New York) introduced the Respect Marriage Act - H.R. 3567. In reading the title one might think this bill is about protecting traditional marriage...just the opposite.

In a statement on his website, Rep. Nadler writes, "The introduction of the Respect for Marriage Act responds directly to a call from President Obama for congressional action on the issue. As the president recently confirmed: 'I stand by my long-standing commitment to work with Congress to repeal the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. It's discriminatory, it interferes with states' rights, and it's time we overturned it."

H.R. 3567 is off to a good start having 90 co-sponsors at its introduction -- 35 Catholic.

If it is true that all Catholics are obliged to oppose the legal recognition of homosexual unions, Catholic politicians are obliged to do so in a particular way, in keeping with their responsibility as politicians.

When legislation in favour of the recognition of homosexual unions is proposed for the first time in a legislative assembly, the Catholic law-maker has a moral duty to express his opposition clearly and publicly and to vote against it. To vote in favour of a law so harmful to the common good is gravely immoral.

When legislation in favour of the recognition of homosexual unions is already in force, the Catholic politician must oppose it in the ways that are possible for him and make his opposition known; it is his duty to witness to the truth.

Below is a list of the Catholic U.S. Representatives co-sponsoring H.R. 3567. Please ask them to reconsider their support and remind them of their responsibility as a Catholic lawmaker.

"Rope And Chains"
Not "Hope and Change"

The pride of my hometown speaks to the people. "I thought you'd want to hear a Black man speak without a teleprompter."

"President Pantywaist"?
I'm starting to like the Brits more and more

Wow. Looks as if the Britannic Obagasm is sputtering to a (thankful and merciful) end. This needs to be required reading for every single American in regards to The Dear Leader. Mmm-mmm-mmm.

I wonder what the British version of South-Side Stooge is? I'll bet the noun Wanker figures prominently.
Barack Obama: President Pantywaist restores the satellite states to their former owner
By Gerald Warner World Last updated: September 18th, 2009

Barack Obama’s chances of re-election in three and a half years’ time may be evaporating at unprecedented speed, but his presidential ambitions could still be realised in another direction. He would be a shoo-in to win the next Russian presidential election, so high is his popularity now running in the land of the bear and the knout. Obama has done more to restore Russia’s hegemonial potential in Eastern and Central Europe than even Vladimir Putin.

His latest achievement has been to restore the former satellite states to dependency on Moscow, by wimping out of the missile defence shield plan. This follows on his surrender last July when he voluntarily sacrificed around a third of America’s nuclear capability for no perceptible benefit beyond a grim smile from Putin. If there is one thing that fans the fires of aggression it is appeasement.

Despite propaganda to the contrary, 58 per cent of Poles were in favour of the missile shield. But small nations must assess the political will of larger powers. Thanks to President Pantywaist’s supine policies, the former satellite states can see that they are fast returning to their former status. The American umbrella cannot be relied upon on a rainy day. They have been here before. Poles remember how a leftist US president sold them out to Russia at Tehran and Yalta. The former Czechoslovakia was betrayed twice: in 1938 and 1945.

If the word is out that America is in retreat, it will soon find it has no friends. The satellites will pragmatically accept their restored subordination, without openly acknowledging it, and co-operate with their dangerous neighbour, ushering in a new generation of Finlandisation.

Bringing unstable states like Georgia into Nato would be a liability, not a defence. The crazy notion of a US-Nato-Russian combined defence policy has all the staying power of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact. Ronald Reagan, assisted by Margaret Thatcher, implemented the sensible principle that Russia, from the time of Peter the Great, respects only strength and steely political will. A pushover in the Oval Office is the best news Russian expansionists have heard since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Barack Obama is selling out America and, by extension, the entire West. This is a catastrophe for America and the wider world.

Quoting A Heretic
Henri Nouwen, to be specific

I read an interesting sermon on-line today. The author of this particular sermon quoted the late Henri Nouwen (may God have mercy on his soul).

I'm somewhat familiar with Nouwen's drivel. Here's a wonderful example;
"Every one will be saved" and "Anyone can find his own way to God". “Today I personally believe that while Jesus came to open the door to God’s house, all human beings can walk through that door, whether they know about Jesus or not. Today I see it as my call to help every person claim his or her own way to God(Sabbatical Journey, New York: Crossroad, 1998, p. 51).No exception for Invincible Ignorance... just the heresy of Universal Salvation. And examples of Nouwen's universalism and pantheism aren't exactly hard to find.

There's a lot of truth in the totality of the Nouwen's writings. Then again, Satan knows Scripture, too. Knowing this, why would any faithful Catholic quote this de facto heretic?

Just a thought.
For The Crime Of Being A Catholic Priest...
Father Marek Gancarczyk, of the Archdiocese of Katowice, Poland

Here's most of the article from LifeSiteNews.com;

Polish Priest Fined for Comparing Abortion to Holocaust, Saying Abortion is "Killing"

KATOWICE, Poland, September 23, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a ruling that Church leaders are calling a serious infringement of freedom of speech, a Polish judge has accused the Archdiocese of Katowice and the priest-editor of their Catholic weekly newspaper of comparing a woman who sought an abortion to the Nazis, and has ordered them to publish a court-dictated apology.

Judge Ewa Solecka, further, fined the Gosc Niedzielny (Sunday Visitor) paper $11,000, objecting to comments from editor-in-chief Fr. Marek Gancarczyk that she deemed offensive, such as his statement that in seeking to get an abortion, the woman sought to 'kill' her child.

Ms. Tysiac, who suffers from an eye condition, has become something of a symbol for the Polish abortion rights movement, following her failed attempt to abort her third child after she became pregnant in 2000. Claiming that her condition would be exacerbated by the continuation of her pregnancy, she sought permission for an abortion.

In Tysiac's case, her doctors concluded that, while she was "significantly disabled," her condition was not serious enough to warrant the death of her unborn child. Thus she was not given permission for abortion, and the baby was born.

In 2005, Tysiac took the Polish government to the European Court. The court ruled in March 2007 that Poland's laws resulted in a 'wrongful birth', ordering the government to pay her 25,000 Euros in damages. The government appealed but the decision was upheld in September 2007.

Subsequently, Fr. Gancarczyk published an editorial condemning the court's decision. While he did draw the connection between the horrors committed by the Nazis and the horror of abortion, he nowhere compares Ms. Tysiac to the Nazis, but rather compares the judges who ruled against the Polish government to the Nazis, contrary to Judge Solecka's Wednesday determination.

"[The Nazis] got used to murders committed behind the camp fence," wrote Fr. Gancarczyk. "And what is it like today? Different, but equally scary."

"The European Tribunal of Justice in Strasbourg just rejected the appeal from the Polish government on the well-known by now case of Alicja Tysiac," he continued. "In consequence, Ms. Tysiac will receive 25,000 euro damages, plus the costs of proceedings, for not being able to kill her child."

"In other words, we are living in a world where a mother is granted an award for the fact that she very much wanted to kill her child, but was forbidden to do so," he said.

In the final paragraph, he applies actions to the judges that he had previously attributed to the Nazis. "And what about the judges, who issued this improbable verdict?" he asked. "They surely spend weekends in different picturesque destinations. They are laughing and relaxed. They got used to it."

Based on her reading of the editorial, the judge has ordered the Archdiocese and Fr. Gancarczyk to publish the following apology:

"The Katowice Archdiocese as the publisher, and Marek Gancarczyk as editor in chief of Gosc Niedzielny weekly apologize to Ms. Alicja Tysiac for unlawful comparison of Ms. Alicja Tysiac to Nazi criminals responsible for the Holocaust of Jews in the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, as well as for the martyrdom of Jews in the ghettos.

"The Katowice Archdiocese as the publisher, as well as Marek Gancarczyk, as editor in chief of the Gosc Niedzielny weekly express their regret, that through the unlawful violation of personal interests of Ms. Alicja Tysiac and using hate speech, they caused pain and harm to Alicja Tysiac."

Calling Fr. Gancarczyk's comments "particularly contemptuous," she insisted that references to abortion as 'killing' must be made in a general way without applying it to individual persons.

She also determined it was untrue when Fr. Gancarczyk stated that Tysiac had been awarded damages because she had wanted an abortion and was forbidden to obtain it. "This claim is false," she said. "Presenting it in Gosc Niedzielny misled the readers and caused a false impression, which could lead to developing conclusions unfavorable to the plaintiff."

However, rather than making the court-mandated apology, which would require the priest to state a falsehood, the newspaper has asserted its intention to continue publishing the truth about abortion, and has indicated that they will appeal the ruling. In a statement following the verdict, Fr. Gancarczyk said, "We treat [this verdict] as an attempt to censure the public debate, which can be used by leftist circles as an encouragement to use the judiciary for the purpose of imposing their worldview on the rest of society."

Numerous Church leaders and public personalities have spoken out strongly against what they call an infringement of Catholics' freedom of speech. The Polish Conference of Bishops, expressing "solidarity" with the newspaper, called the verdict "an unacceptable limitation of the Church's mission," and "an attempt against freedom of speech and the right of the Church to moral judgement of human behavior."

I wonder when those pencil-necked geeks will ever have the 'nads to throw some blood on THIS GUY for wearing leather. I kinda doubt it.

Not That This Has Anything To Do With Anything Important...
I just need my Leningrad Cowboys fix

Doesn't this just make you want to whistle?

Another Example Of The Nut-Jobs At MSNBC
Yet another brain-dead white dwarf in the NBC galaxy

From the same frothing at the mouth dogs that gave us Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, comes this doofus, Ed Schultz.

Here's the video plus some of the article from CNSNews.com;

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz: Republicans ‘Want to See You Dead’

(CNSNews.com) - MSNBC talk show host Ed Schultz, discussing health care reform on his program on Wednesday, said that Republicans “want to see you dead.”

“Hold it right there,” Schultz said. “The Republicans lie. They want to see you dead. They‘d rather make money off your dead corpse. They kind of like it when that woman has cancer and they don’t have anything for her. That‘s how the insurance companies make money, by denying the coverage.”
Here's The Deal, Britain...
We get Damian Thompson, you get Chris Matthews

Now here's one Limey I can live with. And I mean that in the nicest sort of way. Anyhoo, here's the article in it's entirety from The Telegraph (London, UK); Enjoy.
Catholics venerating relics of St Thérèse are 'slobbering zealots', says Labour councillor
By Damian Thompson Religion Last updated: September 25th, 2009

Councillor Tim Cheetham, a Labour councillor in Barnsley, has been watching Catholics venerate the relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux on television. “With all those slobbering zealots kissing that glass case, I hope it has some mystical power to prevent swine flu,” he wrote on Twitter this morning.

That’s the authentic voice of 21st-century Labour. As Louise Bagshawe, novelist and Tory prospective candidate, immediately tweeted back: “Nice to describe faithful Catholics venerating a relic as slobbering zealots. Would you use such bigoted language about Muslims?”

Cheetham’s pathetic reply: “As the church has issued new guidlines [sic] about the conduct of ceremonies to protect against spreading disease, it needed saying.”

Bagshawe: “Labour’s anti-Catholicism is breathtaking sometimes.”

Indeed it is. Tony Blair’s relationship with the Catholic Church disguised the ferocious secularism of New Labour, which under Gordon Brown has increasingly focused on Roman Catholicism as an object of ridicule. (The Catholic bishops are slow to wake up to this fact, but one of these days they will have to give up their sentimental attachment to a party that hates them.)

Another tweet from Cheetham: “It’s not Bigotry to highlight the lunacy of dark age mysticism in the modern world.” Really? OK, then let me put you on the spot, councillor.

You say: “I will decry any faith that denies my right to question it in whatever form I wish.” Well, Muslims in Barnsley do object to the slightest criticism of their Prophet (who lived during the dark ages, as it happens) with his child wives and message of violence. But you’re a brave man, it seems. So go on: speak fearlessly and with your trademark withering disdain about the zealots in your own town.

The Zero Admits It
But we knew it all along

As I watch The South-Side Stooge stutter and stammer his way through his speech at this G-20 goat rodeo, he said something that caught my attention.

And it obviously caught the attention of The Hartford Courant;
"Going forward, we cannot tolerate the same old boom-and-bust economy of the past."Now what the hell other economic system goes up and down with regularity? It's called Capitalism. But you heard DingleBarry himself say it... we can't tolerate that stuff any more.

Hmmm... I wonder what kind of economic system he favors? That's not exactly a hard question to answer.
An Absolute Disaster
GOP Chairman Michael Steele

I had such high hopes for former Lt. Governor Steele. Turns out he's just another RepubliCrat. And how sad he places political expediency above core values, both religious and secular (don't forget, Steele claims to be Catholic.)

If the likes of Michael Steele are at the forefront of the next Reagan Revolution, we in the Conservative Movement can count on getting our ass handed to us in the upcoming elections. Here's some of the article from LifeSiteNews.com; (Emphasis and comments mine)

Chairman Steele Says Pro-Abortion Candidates "Absolutely" Welcomed by GOP

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 22, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele has again cast doubt on his professed loyalty to the pro-life movement by saying he "absolutely" believes there is room for a pro-abortion candidate in the GOP.
(Shades of McCain.)

Steele told the newspaper that a Republican candidate's view on legal protection for unborn children should reflect the views of their local constituencies. (IE: abortion in conservative areas is bad - abortion in liberal areas is good.) The GOP chair was then asked if there is room in the party for a pro-abortion candidate such as Steve Stivers of Ohio's 15th district, who is favored to win the Republican nomination next year. (There's a phrase for guys like Steve Stivers -- fiscally conservative Democrats. We had our fill of those idiots in 2008. And we see just how great the Republican Party did with those clowns. What's it take for the honchos in the Republican Party to realize that pro-abortion candidates are a recipe for disaster?)

"There absolutely is, there absolutely is," said Steele. ("There absolutely is *a back-stabbing happening*, there absolutely is.)

"The key thing right now - and I think this is true for Republicans across the country - is to have leadership that reflects the communities I live in, where we're from," he continued. "As we get ready for the battles that lie ahead from this district to all the districts surrounding the state, that you're going to find those candidates emerge and rise up who reflect those values in those communities, and that's a very important step for the party to take, I think, and I'm looking forward to help lead that charge in the future." (Kinda hard to change a damn thing if we keep murdering the future electorate.)

If That's How You Want To Be Referred To As...
So be it

I recently posted an article stating the obvious. Specifically, that the vast majority of those who croak from HIV are homosexuals. Not exactly a big shocker.

Unfortunately, but predictably, there was an individual who took exception to me using the word "faggot". The individual in question was rational and even tempered, but I do believe somewhat miffed that I used that particular noun.

Anyhow, there are many in the homosexual community who so desire to be referred to as queers (Queer Nation), dykes (Dykes on Bikes) and faggots (see above photo), etc. No problemo. Queers, dykes and faggots it is. Much like how many in the Black community so desire to be referred to as "Niggers" (or "Niggas" as the case may be), or those in the White community who so desire to be referred to as "White Trash" (or "Cracker" as the case may be). Yet again, no problemo. Niggers, Niggas, White Trash and Crackers it is.

That's unfortunant, isn't it?

But back to the individual that took exception to my choice of words... unfortunately, but yet again, predictably, I was asked "If Jesus would call someone that" or words to that effect. That reminded me of a post I did many moons ago;

Would Jesus Have Insulted Anyone?
One thing's for sure, Jesus didn't pull any punches

St. Jimbob of the Apokalypse and I have had a bit of a running combox discussion. Now Jimbob and I don't always agree on everything, but JB's a straight shooter... and I respect that.

Anyhow, he and I were discussing (in a roundabout way) if Jesus would have ever insulted anyone. Like Jimbob correctly pointed out, Christ never referred to the adulterous woman as a 'whore'.

But that got me to thinking about some of the things Jesus said...

Lk 11: 39-40 - Jesus refers to the Pharisees as 'fools'. Going to the Latin Vulgate Bible, the word "fools" is "stulti", and stulti can translate into either fools or morons, depending upon the context in which it was said. Either way, fool or moron is pretty darn insulting.

Mt 26: 24 - "The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man shall be betrayed: it were better for him, if that man had not been born". OK, Jesus could have simply said to judas "betraying Me isn't exactly a good thing", but Jesus went as far as to say that it would have been better if judas wasn't even born! Imagine if someone said that to you. I'd take that as an insult... wouldn't you?

In both of the Gospels of Saints Matthew and Mark, Jesus refers to St. Peter as "satan". Christ could have easily said to St. Peter to knock it off... but instead, He referred to St. Peter as the epitome of evil. Pretty darn harsh if you ask me. Insulting, even?

In The Gospels of Saints Matthew, Mark and Luke, we have Jesus saying "And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off even the dust of your feet, for a testimony against them". Keep in context the Jewish (and Middle Eastern) outlook when referring to someone being on the same level as your feet. And if placing the unbeliever at the same level as your feet wasn't harsh enough, Jesus goes one step further with the exhortation to 'shake the DUST of where they live off your feet'. I think that qualifies as a first class slam.

Mt 7; 6 - "...neither cast ye your pearls before swine". Again, remember what the Jewish attitude was (and still is) towards pigs. Describing someone who willingly disregards the Truth about Jesus as a pig? Now THAT was an insult to the Nth degree. No doubt, to get someone's attention most rikki-tik, Jesus wouldn't hesitate to give a good, solid verbal punch in the nose every now and then.

No, Not That Don Johnson
But I'll bet Barney Frank wishes it was

Interesting little article from The Bulletin (Philadelphia). Here's some of it;
Obama Nominates Outspoken Abortion Supporter To Legal Post

President Barack Obama has nominated Dawn Johnson, a law professor with a record of vehement support for abortion, to become assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel.

Ms. Johnson teaches at the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University and once served as former President Bill Clinton’s acting attorney general. She has made a number of diehard comments on the abortion issue such as, “There is no ‘father’ and no ‘child’ – just a fetus.”
And for all those idiot "Catholics For Obama", I'd just like to point out the obvious --

"The Work Of The Devil Will Infiltrate Even Into The Church..." -
The Blessed Virgin Mary, Akita, Japan. 1973

Just thought you'd like to know what's going on behind the smoke and mirrors at the USCCB. Here's some of a rather illuminating article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine)
Not Only ACORN
Catholic Campaign-Funded Groups Support Same-sex Marriage, Opposed Parental Notification

On July 1, 2009, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development published a list of their 2009-10 grant recipients. These grants were made after the new criteria were established. Two of the four grantees in the city of San Francisco are the “Chinese Progressive Association” and “Young Workers United.”

The Chinese Progressive Association is listed on the “API Equality” website as a “supporting organization.” API Equality is an organization of Asian and Pacific Islander proponents of same-sex “marriage”. The Chinese Progressive Association was also signatory to a No on Prop. 8 election flyer published in 2008 by Equality California. In 2009, the Chinese Progressive Association received a $30,000 grant from the Catholic Campaign.

While uncovering the disqualifying actions of the Chinese Progressive Association might have required a small amount of work, it is impossible to see how the application from Young Workers United made it through the levels of the Catholic Campaign scrutiny.

The Young Workers United published a voter guide to the November 2008 elections right on their website. It is online to this day. Under the recommendation for Proposition 4, (which would have required the parent or guardian of an underage girl to be notified before she undergoes an abortion) we read:

“Prop 4 - Parental Notification No! Back off! Prop 4 backers want to make access to safe abortions for teens nearly impossible. Physicians would be required to notify a minor’s parents or legal guardian of her intent to have an abortion and impose a 48-hour waiting period before she can have the procedure. Young women must continue to decide what’s best for them and not have to resort to dangerous, back-alley, illegal abortions.”
The recommendation on Proposition 8 was more succinct:

“Prop 8 - Limit on Marriage NO! Everyone should have the equal right to get married. Stop hatin’. Plain and simple."
Both Propositions 4 and 8 were supported by the California Catholic Bishops . In 2009, the Young Workers United received a $25,000 grant from the Catholic Campaign.

Someone help me out here.... why in the world would "Catholic" organizations, like the USCCB and The Catholic Campaign, give tens of thousands of dollars to other politically active groups that are diametrically opposed to some of our basic teachings? Please don't tell me that any of you actually believe this to be an administrative oversight.

Christ sent His mother to us with the above quoted warning for a reason. There really are wolves in sheep's clothing within the Catholic Church. Says who? Christ and His most Blessed Mother... that's who.

That is, unless you believe Jesus and His mother are liars.
America To Protect Iran?
Are we going to shoot down Israeli fighter-bombers?

I posted this back in May of this year;
If and when the Israelis launch an airstrike against Iran, don't be surprised if it's the United States Armed Forces in the Persian Gulf and Iraq that's ordered to shoot them down. Let's not forget who it was that The South-Side Stooge just bowed to and kissed the hand of.Now we read this bit of warm and fuzzy from one of Zero's advisers. Here's some of the article from World Net Daily;
Brzezinski suggests Obama shoot down Israeli jets
'They have the choice of turning back or not'

The national security adviser during President Jimmy Carter's administration says the U.S. should confront Israeli jets if that nation chooses to take military action against Iran's nuclear threat.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, in an interview with the Daily Beast website, declared, "We are not exactly impotent little babies."

Israel long has been thought to be considering a military strike against the Islamic regime's suspected development of nuclear weapon technology. Israel has stated it is unwilling to be threatened by a leader with access to nuclear weapons who believes it should be wiped off the map, as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has declared.

But an Israeli attack on Iran probably would have to fly over coalition airspace in Iraq.

"Are we just going to sit there and watch?" Brzezinski asked. He said the U.S. has to be "serious" about denying Israel the right to attack.

"That means a denial where you aren't just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not," he said.
Why not throw Israel under the bus? We just did the very same thing to Poland.

By the way, that's TWICE the United States has screwed-over the Poles. Anyone remember a little thing called Yalta?

Another Traditional Latin Mass in Coastal Carolina!
This just in...

A friend just read me the bulletin from the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Chapel up in Camp Lejeune. As of October 4th, the Catholic Chaplaincy will start celebrating the TLM EVERY Sunday!

"TRADITIIONAL LATIN MASS: We will start a Traditional Latin Mass at St. Francis Xavier on Oct 4th at 12:30. While CCD is in session the TLM will be at 1230 and when CCD is over well have it at 0930. This Mass will not replace any Mass that is currently being celebrated."I'm trying to contact the Chaplain's Office to see if it's possible for non-military to get aboard base to attend Mass. But to be completely honest, I couldn't see any reason why civilians couldn't get on base -- just swing by the Visitors Center (right there at the Main Gate), show your drivers license, registration and proof of insurance -- and just let the MPs know you're going to attend Mass at the Catholic Chapel... it shouldn't be a problem.

But when I hear something solid from the God Locker, I'll pass the word.
Who Are The Idiots In Charge Of Less-Than-Great Britain?
Helmet tip to Coffee Catholic

Here's some of the article from The Daily Mail (London, UK): (Emphasis mine) Christian hotel owners hauled before court after defending their beliefs in discussion with Muslim guest

A Christian couple have been charged with a criminal offence after taking part in what they regarded as a reasonable discussion about religion with guests at their hotel.

Ben and Sharon Vogelenzang were arrested after a Muslim woman complained to police that she had been offended by their comments. They have been charged under public order laws with using ‘threatening, abusive or insulting words’ that were ‘religiously aggravated’.

The couple, whose trial has been set for December, face a fine of up to £5,000 and a criminal record if they are convicted.

Although the facts are disputed, it is thought that during the conversation the couple were challenged over their Christian beliefs. It is understood that they suggested that Mohammed, the founder of Islam, was a warlord and that traditional Muslim dress for women was a form of bondage. They deny, however, that their comments were threatening and argue that they had every right to defend and explain their beliefs.

One of those involved was the Muslim woman, who was staying at the hotel while she received treatment at a hospital nearby.

In July they were arrested and charged under Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 and Section 31 (1) (c) and (5) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

Neil Addison, a prominent criminal barrister and expert in religious law, said: ‘The purpose of the Public Order Act is to prevent disorder, but I’m very concerned that the police are using it merely because someone is offended.

‘It should be used where there is violence, yobbish behaviour or gratuitous personal abuse. It should never be used where there has been a personal conversation or debate with views firmly expressed. ‘If someone is in a discussion and they don’t like what they are hearing, they can walk away.’

He added that the police had a legal duty under the Human Rights Act to
defend free speech ‘and I think they are forgetting that’.

Lemme get this straight... these folks get arrested over a civil discussion where there happens to be a disagreement. But the English cops look the other way at this?

So much for enforcing the Crime and Disorder Act of 1998.

Profiles in Personal Courage or....

Things that the USCCB should learn for $200 Alex

I think that it is high time that we all come to grips with the reality that the USCCB no longer serves the Holy Roman Catholic Church. There are far too many committees and such that allow most of our leadership to avoid personal responsibility and adherence to Mother Church.

Committees by nature are a cowards tool. Typically a committee is put together so that some idea, belief, or program can be pushed forward with anonymity. Every time I have been placed on a committee in my professional life we always knew the conclusion we were supposed to come to before we even discussed the topic. The USCCB is just one giant committee, allowing each cowardly member to support what they know is wrong, and provide the cover they need to say "look I am just one person what can I do." COWARDICE!

Vir Speluncae Catholicus is right, this is the 800 lb. gorilla in the room. There is absolutely no way that any of these Bishops can support or keep quiet about what is going on in this country right now with health care, government ownership of private companies, making a grab for student loan market, and now the abandonment of Poland and other Eastern European nation states. This administration is clearly Communist, a form of government that is very hostile to the Catholic Church. Our leaders in the USCCB are so compromised from feeding at the trough of government, and very infiltrated by the communists themselves that they will not act as a group.

What is the solution? I am not certain, for one I would really like to see our Holy Father forcefully disband it. For all you nut jobs out there that say this would only make American Catholics abandon the Church I say, GOOD! Do so at your own peril. I hold out hope that many might see the right road if that happens. How many times do we have to be shown when the light shines the cockroaches flee! Just look what is happening to ACORN right now. All because two young people decided they were going to do something! Having a little personal courage.

Which brings up another embarrassing point, yes the USCCB has been involved with ACORN. Our donations to the Church have made it to this horrid organization. Have you heard any mea culpa's from any of those Catholic institutions? Nope. Any outrage over the willingness of ACORN to assist in the potential abuse of underage girls? Nope. Any dire warnings from Bishops around country that if anyone is caught having any connections with ACORN that it would be finito for that person regardless of the reason. Nope.

It takes personal courage to fight evil, and a whole lot of it. This personal courage cannot be garnered while hiding in a committee or a "Conference". I pray for the end of this organization and for the Holy Father to force these men to take up their mantle independently so we can all see who and what they are then offer our support to those that fight for Mother Church, and then give the rest a swift kick in the butt to get their courage together and fight with us!
That's A Great Question, Chris
From Catholic Church Conservation

And who is celebrating this Mass, the priest, the other man,
one or more of the two women, the TV or the palm tree?

And some still can't figure out why at so many Novus Ordo parishes, they actually believe that its the priest and the people who consecrate The Eucharist.

If you waddle enough, eventually you'll actually believe you're a duck.
The 3% Solution
And a weak solution, it is

Yet another indictment of our fearless shepherds. Here's some of it;
Another Bishop Says ObamaCare Violates Catholic Social Teaching

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Missouri, September 18, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Another Catholic bishop has stated that too many aspects of President Barack Obama's health care reforms violate basic and necessary Catholic social principles, such as respect for human dignity, safeguarding human life, conscience protection, and the principle of "subsidiarity."

Johnston says that of all the ways "to skin the health-care cat," President Obama's proposed reform raises serious and troubling questions for Catholics, such that the bishop says he cannot in good conscience support it.
And this is where I get to be the mean guy who has the bad manners to point out that there happens to be an 800 lb. gorilla in the room -- where the hell are the VAST majority of our stalwart USCCB?

Out of over 300 members, only the following have had the stones to say something*? I'm getting that sinking feeling that in this case, silence is consent.

*Not exactly an all inclusive list, but if anyone has any other to add, please let me know.

Bishop James Vann Johnston of Cape-Girardeau and Springfield, Missouri.

Bishop Thomas Doran of Rockford, Illinois.

Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas.

Bishop of Robert W. Finn of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Missouri.

Bishop Samuel J. Aquila of Fargo, North Dakota.

Bishop R. Walter Nickless of Sioux City, Iowa.

Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver, Colorado.

Bishop Robert Vasa of Baker, Oregon.

___________________________________________

UPDATE!

I stand corrected. Nan has informed me that American Papist has a listing of 41 Bishops who have spoken out against ObamaCare. So my assesment that roughly 97% are silent is wrong. It's only almost 9 out of 10 that are noticably silent.

Holy Father, Come To America
Because you're being ignored

This is simply laughable. And I don't want to hear about the so-called "priest shortage". Between the dyke nuns, queer priests and self-ordained militant laity that constitute the average seminary admissions boards, it's amazing we have any priests at all.

Anyhow, here's some of the article; (Emphasis mine)
Gandolfo, Italy, Sep 17, 2009 / 10:27 am (CNA).- In an audience this morning with bishops visiting from Brazil, Pope Benedict XVI advised them on how to respond to the lack of priests, emphasizing that the shortage cannot be solved by having lay people substitute for the clergy.

The Holy Father began his address to the Brazilian prelates by pointing out the difference between the identity of priests and the laity. While the lay faithful share in the "common priesthood," they are not ordained ministers of Christ and His Church. "Hence," the Pope cautioned, "it is important to avoid the secularization of clergy and the 'clericalization' of the laity."
Ok, ok... nice words from Rome. But over on this side of the pond, they see things a little different.
The bishops approved new rules and expectations for the American church's 30,632 "lay ecclesial ministers," many of whom are filling tasks that used to be exclusively assigned to clergy. In some parishes, for instance, they conduct weddings and baptisms.And then there's always this gem from Roger "Millions For Homo-Rapists, None For Salvation Of Souls" Mahony;
What some refer to as a "vocations crisis" is, rather, one of the many fruits of the Second Vatican Council. It is a sign of God's deep love for the Church, and an invitation to a more creative and effective ordering of gifts and energy in the Body of Christ. This is a time of great challenge and opportunity in the Church, not least of all because the gifts of the lay faithful have been flourishing in unprecedented numbers and in unforeseen ways. The Pope's words are impressive, but as long as we have individuals like Mahony and his minions (the so-called "priests" at Notre Damned, the Ursuline Sisters, the members of the of the Cape Fear Deanery, etc, ad nauseum) in positions of power in The Church, things won't get better. We'll just continue to slouch towards Gomorrah.

Another Hippie Icon Smashed
... such fun

First I burst the bubble of the Gandhi worshippers when I posted this, now John Winston Lennon shall receive his comeuppance.

Yeah... this coming from a guy who was personally worth millions of dollars, owned a Rolls Royce and had an air conditioned room in The Dakota (one of the swankiest and most expensive apartment buildings in NYC) for the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of fur coats.

Take THAT hippies.
Note to Liberal "Catholics"

I do not know personally any liberal Catholic who actually acknowledges subsidiarity as an element of Catholic social teaching, but I guess the surest way to ever convert a Liberal "Catholic" to Catholicism is to provide them with some knowledge.
So, if one has ever asked why the Catholic Church teaches subsidiarity as an indispensible notion of social justice?

Here is one great answer:
"The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum . . . The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." - H.L. Mencken, 1920
I would have to say that we are living in the time that Mencken predicted. With Obama the White House has been adorned with a downright moron, not to mention one who is devious and mediocre.
Could Reunification Be This Close?
Let's hope to God it's true

This article does seem too good to be true, but His Holiness has a way of surprising us. Here's some of the article from The National Catholic Register; (Emphasis mine)
Is Catholic-Orthodox Unity in Sight?

(CNS/Reuters)The Catholic Archbishop of Moscow has given a remarkably upbeat assessment of relations with the Orthodox Church, saying unity between Catholics and Orthodox could be achieved
“within a few months.”

In an interview today in Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper, Archbishop Paolo Pezzi said the miracle of reunification “is possible, indeed it has never been so close.” The archbishop added that Catholic-Orthodox reunification, the end of the historic schism that has divided them for a millennium, and spiritual communion between the two churches “could happen soon, also within a few months.”

“Basically we were united for a thousand years,” Archbishop Pezzi said. “Then for another thousand we were divided. Now the path to rapprochement is at its peak, and the third millennium of the Church could begin as a sign of unity.” He said there were “no formal obstacles” but that “everything depends on a real desire for communion.”

On the part of the Catholic Church, he added, “the desire is very much alive.”

Archbishop Pezzi, 49, whose proper title is Metropolitan Archbishop of the Mother of God Archdiocese in Moscow, said that now there are “no real obstacles” on the path towards full communion and reunification. On issues of modernity, Catholics and Orthodox Christians feel the same way, he said: “Nothing separates us on bioethics, the family, and the protection of life.”

Also on matters of doctrine, the two churches are essentially in agreement. “There remains the question of papal primacy,” Archbishop Pezzi acknowledged, “and this will be a concern at the next meeting of the Catholic-Orthodox Commission. But to me, it doesn’t seem impossible to reach an agreement.”

And the political implications this has against the rising moslem tide in Europe? Think about it.

Something else to consider, reunification with our Sister Churches in the east is childsplay compared to the real struggle The Holy Father has in regards to cleaning out the sewage that's already infected Holy Mother The Church.

St. Charles Borromero, Ora Pro Nobis.

Quote of the Month
Wish I had Said It

The long-running monthly newsletter Catholic Eye, described The Zero perfectly in their August 31st issue (my emphasis added):

"It seems The One won’t be able to sweet-talk his subjects into socialized medicine after all. After seven months, the YouTubian Candidate who mesmerized voters with his Reverend Wright-style delivery is beginning to look like Charlie McCarthy, his head bobbing back and forth at the teleprompter – never looking us in the eye.”

For those of you too young to remember Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy (although you might be familiar with Charlie’s sister, Candace, an equally wooden performer), here’s a photo of Charlie.
We Were Warned
Crisis, what crisis?

Interesting article from Time magazine, November 9, 1962. Here's some of it; (Emphasis and comments mine)
Religion: Crisis of Immutability

Everything has been ordained by tradition and now you want to change it all, complained Vatican Prefect of Sacred Ceremonies Archbishop Enrico Dante. The prelates of the Second Vatican Council were indeed talking of change, and change in the basic area of the church's public worship.

Reforming the liturgy means in essence revising the solemn, tradition-laden Mass that has stood basically unchanged for 400 years
(Actually, it's more like 1,500 years. Trent made very few and minor changes. The Mass has essentially been the same since it was promulgated by Pope St. Gregory the Great). The structure of ritual is so elaborately linked that any change is likely to become a crucial change (understatement of the millennium). If Latin were dropped, for example, it might be natural also to drop plain chant, which is awkward in most other languages. "In the last four centuries," says Jesuit Liturgist Hermann Schmidt, "the ideal has become immutability. Certainly God is immutable; but we are men, and we cannot always express ourselves the same. This is a crisis of immutability."

At the heart of the crisis is Latin, the language of the Mass and the language of the council. In exquisite Latin, some prelates have been arguing for the introduction of the vernacular, while others—such as Cardinal Mclntyre of Los Angeles—have in halting Latin painfully defended the ancient language
(Note: Liturgical Latin was never meant for conversation). The arguments of those who favor keeping Latin stress unity, tradition, and the great precision that it provides. Said militant Latinist Francis Cardinal Spellman: "No matter where you go on the face of the earth, the Latin Mass is a sign of Catholic unity." Other supporters argue, according to the official summary, that "because of its concrete phraseology of legal terms, Latin is particularly suited for theology and dogma."
Gee, you mean those against the vernacular were right all along? Don't believe me, just look at the state of The Church. The word "implosion" leaps to mind.

God, Guns, Guts, And American Pick-Up Trucks
"The only 911 call I need is chambering a round"

Mark Muller, of Max Motors in Butler, Missouri, opens up with both barrels against CNN. He keeps his cool as he shoves it down the throat of the condescending Communist News Network anchoress.

When is someone in North Carolina going to have a give-away like that? My revolver and shotgun are getting lonely.
Chalk One Up For The Brits
Ironic, isn't it?

I typed "tea party protest washington", and just did a Google news search. As of this moment in time, here's what I came up with;
ABC stated there were simply "thousands".*

The New York Times also stated there were simply "thousands".

The Washington Post stated there were "tens of thousands".

Fox News stated there were "tens of thousands".

CNN ran a story, but never gave a number.

As of this posting, CBS, NBC and MSNBC haven't even covered it.

The Daily Mail (London, UK) estimates the crowed as "up to two million".
Also, for whatever bizarre reason, the US Park Police have declined to estimate the size of the crowd. Interesting, no?

*In all fairness to ABC, they did post "approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people flooded Pennsylvania Ave, according to the Washington DC Fire Department". Nice sentence, but isn't there a lot more to the area the protesters were (like The Mall, proper) than just Pennsylvania Avenue?"
