EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUEST!!!!
NYPD and Vietnam veteran in need...

Asking all cave dwellers and passersby to please keep in your prayers,my big brother Johnny.
While on his way to take part in a motorcycle funeral escort for a deceased Veteran, his bike hit a huge pothole causing him to crash. He is in ICU with severe internal injuries and his wife, their children and grandchildren would appreciate your prayers.
Johnny was always my idol and boyhood hero growing up, USMC Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient and a Sergeant of NY's Finest. So your prayers would mean a lot to me too.
Thank you all

ReplyDeletePray for Him!
Its times like these that remind us all who like to debate issues affecting the Church that in the end there is only one thing that matters and that is that we all persevere.
ReplyDeletePlease be assured of my prayers, most especially on Sunday when I assist at Mass.

ReplyDeleteOf course. May The Holy Mother wrap her mantle around him.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the prayers.
ReplyDeleteA49~You can post this wherever he'll receive more prayers from. Thank you.
He is intebated and on a vent. He'll be on one for at least a week. The biggest concern is that he has a flail chest. The stress from trying to breathe has become a threat to his heart, so we have a rough couple of days in front of us.
The hospital he was taken to happens to be in a pretty bad area of Brooklyn. Many of the other patients around him are handcuffed to the bed with a cop watching 24/7. So to put their minds at ease, I reached out to some friends in high places and some cops from the hospitals precinct visited with him and availed themselves to my sister-in-law and her kids. This also sent a clear message to those around him, "This guy is one of US!" The visit apparently did him some good too, as one of the cops came over to give him some encouragement, insiring him to try to sit up to shake his hand. Gotta love that Marine pride.
Thanks again everyone.
