I'm SOOOOOO glad I didn't have to post the below draft in sincerity!
I was all set last night. I sat back, thought it through, and punch-up a draft. Even though I was hoping for Bobby Jindal... all I gotta say is, literally and figuratively, Thank God that Governor Palin was chosen.
Now if she can just get McCain to renounce ESCR. Hope springs eternal.
Monumentally Stupid Decisions Throughout The Ages...
In no particular order
Living proof that hindsight is 20/20, here are certain moments in history that one doesn't have to be a Nostradumbass to realize that they were really, really stupid moves:
Militarily ~ Hitler's refusal to retreat from Stalingrad.
Platonically ~ Wally Cleaver's choice of Eddie Haskell as a best friend.
Ecclesiastically ~ The Second Vatican Council.
Musically ~ Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
Romantically ~ Monica Lewinsky.
Politically ~ Barack Obama's choice of Joe Biden for Veep.
But without a doubt, the Stupidest Move For The Ages, is John McCain choosing another rich, White male as his running mate.
I can't agree with you about Vatican 2. The Holy Spirit knows best.
ReplyDeleteRTS,
ReplyDeleteJust FYI.... as we both know, every time we execute the Sign of The Cross, we invoke The Holy Ghost.
With that said, every Council prior to V2 had a formal invocation of The Holy Ghost. But V2 didn't.
The reason is because, unlike all previous councils, V2 never declared any new dogma(s).
As I've stated a number of times on the past, very, very little in V2 is binding upon pain of sin. So I don't think this is so much a case of The Holy Ghost "getting it wrong", so to speak.
