The Liberal Answer When Things Don't Go Their Way
Don't tell me you're surprised

After the spanking that McCain gave The Obamination at Saddleback the other night, I wasn't all that thrown aback when I heard Democrat talking-heads whining that "McCain MUST have known the questions beforehand! How else could he have answered those questions so quickly!!??"

No evidence, just make the accusation. You know how it goes.

Hmmm... could it be that McCain is able to think on his feet unlike Teleprompter Barry?

This whole thing reminds me of the accusation that the anti-war crowd made not all that long ago that Marines were executing prisoners in Iraq. Their rationale? That soooooo many terrorists were shot in the head. The only reason that could be (in the fevered minds of liberals) is because the Marines executed all the bad guys up close and personal. You know, gangland style.

No evidence, just make the accusation. You know how it goes.

Hmmm... and it took a Marine Corps spokesman to point out that the real reason sooooooo many bad guys were shot in the head, is because Marines really are that good of shots. Marines really, really do train for the head shot.

You know, that whole "One Shot... One Kill" thingee.

Hey Cavey, pardon my ignorance but aren't the Marines required to make a minimum qualification of "marksman" before they're allowed out of boot camp?

As for us sailors, the safest place to be when we're shooting is directly in front of us (absolute honesty is the first step in recovery).

  2. Also possible that the Leftards who make that accuation are completely unfamiliar with modern rifles and scopes.

    Not to mention training.

What the....do those idiots think that soldiers shoot to WOUND?

  3. Subvet,
Yep... every Marine, from Intantryman to Admin guy, must qualify with the M-16A2 rifle. Marines shoot from the 200, 300 and 500 yard line.

Even those who barely qual, are still a pretty damn good shot!

I hope that doesn't pertain to torpedoes!!

You bet it does, torpedoes and nuclear missiles are the Navy's version of precision marksmanship. Torpedoes take out the armory of enemy combatants by sinking the whole ship. Nuclear missiles take out a military installation by erasing the entire countryside. We're sloppy but effective.

  5. I can't speak from experience, here, but it seems to me that the head is also the part of the anatomy most likely to come out from cover -- making it the only available target.
