Portrait Of A Slack-Ass
That was me, 50 pounds ago*... but still a slack-ass
I finally got off my butt and updated my links. Most of those listed as "new"... well, I would have sworn that I already had them listed. To those faithful Bloglodytes who may have thought that I slighted them by not blog-rolling them, all I can say is - sorry! Such is the life of a slack-ass.
*Taken a couple of years ago, when I went as The Golden Dome of Notre Dame for Holloween.
hmmm
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I should be delighted by the pictures of you as the Dome, or horrified and offended by the implication that Notre Dame is connected with slack-ass-itude. (Unless you're simply making a reference to last football season. May we never see a season like that again.)
Mary Liz,
ReplyDeleteIt was only by happenstance that I used those two particular pictures. But now that you mention it, slack-ass-itude does pertain to UND. But only if one's referring to the football program and/or the {Lack of) Theology Department.
I like it. I think you should travel to Federal Court in DC a few months from now and wear it in the gallery as the Gitmo "guests" take advantage of our country's court system, thanks to yesterday's Supreme Court decision. Offer bacon to the defendants for me, wouldja?
ReplyDeleteHow strange--after you lost weight, we had some slight resembelence, but now, I'm gaining weight.
ReplyDeletemaybe if I read the stuff that comes from that slack ass theology dept. I'd be nauseated enough to lose weight?
Of course, I'm not a ND fan--I much prefere the antics of the IU squad. Such as it is.
The top picture disappoints me, as I would have thought you would follow the traditions of devout Italians throughout the Empire and Garden states and planted the half-submerged "white-on-the-outside-blue-on-the-inside" bathtub to form a grotto for the statue of Our Blessed Mother.
ReplyDeleteFugghedaboutit!

Digi,
ReplyDeleteBut if only I was an Italiano from either the Garden or Empire state! But seeing I'm a Southerner by birth, and West Coast and South Pacific raised... I'm gonna have to stick with the non-tub shrine thingee set-up.
I finally made the Cavey Blogroll! Yay me!
ReplyDeleteI'm truly very honored to have been found worthy...
Catholic Caveman! Thank you so much for blogrolling me! I'm honored!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting married tomorrow morning. Please pray for me and my husband! (So awesome to type that word . . .)
Sarah,
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and the new hubby!!!!
Ah, but with such frequent use of the term "goombah" on your blog, I figured you wanted to be. Italiano from Jersey or Noo Yawk, that is.

P.S. - The heavy gold chain is optional. The white tie is not.
Hmmm. A painted bath tub grotto thingy?!?! I could go places with this idea... (...eyeing garden...)
ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping me on your blog role! Though I've changed my blog ~ I used to be The Walled Garden but now that's a homemaking blog shared with a few friends. Now my gripe-and-moan Catholic blog is Ave Maria Gratia Plena (www.coffeecatholic.com) I had to shut down comments for a while because I was getting harassed by locals. Apparently me being a pro-life, anti-promiscuity etc Catholic and wearing a mantilla to mass is not going over very well...
Goodnight! Love the hat ~ wish I had one!!
