Will again celebrate traditional Mass this month
We have learned that Bishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, the auxiliary bishop of San Diego, California, will celebrate a traditional Latin Mass at St. Anne’s church (pictured) in San Diego at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 7th. His Excellency will reportedly say the low Mass for the regular TLM priest who normally says the weekday Masses and who will be away.
What leadership! A bishop who is not only knows the Latin Mass but is even willing to fill in for one of his priests at a weekday Mass. Talk about “leading by example!” Is this guy the heir apparent for the episcopal chair in San Diego? Let’s hope so. America needs more pastors (shepherds) like this one.
Celebrating the traditional Mass isn’t anything new, it seems, for Bishop Cordileone. According to the San Diego Traditional Latin Mass website, His Excellency celebrated Solemn Pontifical High Masses in San Diego three times in 2003.
EXCELLENT NEWS!!!! Great job of staying on top of this one, FAB!
ReplyDeleteIN RESPONSE TO THE BANNERS AT THE TOP OF THIS BLOGSITE LET US RESPOND WITH THE FOLLOWING: DEFEAT ZIOFASCISM. IT POSES A MUCH GREATER PROBLEM THAN ANY SO CALLED (AND POLITICALLY CORRECT WORD) "ISLAMOFASCISM." NOT ONLY OUR APPEASEMENT TO THE ZIONISTS, BUT OUR ACTUAL PROMOTION OF THEIR CAUSE IS ALREADY KILLING US. MICHAEL CHERTOFF, OUR HOMELAND SECURITY CHIEF IS AN ISRAELI NATIONAL! MANY OTHER NON-ELECTED HIGH OFFICIALS IN OUR GOVERNMENT ARE AS WELL. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF OUR 100 SENATORS OR 435 CONGRESSMAN DARES TO RAISE THIS ISSUE IN PUBLIC.
ReplyDeleteHuzzah! More Bishops like him!
ReplyDeleteJAMES,
ReplyDelete"US"? I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE SO MANY OF YOU. DO THE VOICES IN YOUR HEAD MAKE YOU PLURAL?
ANYHOW, WHEN YOU START YOUR OWN BLOG, FEEL FREE TO POST WHATEVER YOUR LITTLE HEART DESIRES AS THE HEADER.IN THE MEANTIME, I'LL PUT ANYTHING I DAMN WELL PLEASE ON MINE.
I HOP YOU GOT EVERYTHING OFF YOUR CHEST. THAT WAS YOUR LAST POST HERE.... EVER.
BY THE WAY, WHAT DOES ANY OF YOUR RANT HAVE TO DO WITH THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS BEING CELEBRATED IN SAN DIEGO? NOTHING, THAT'S WHAT.
YOU'RE JUST ANOTHER CRACK POT LOOKING TO SCREECH.
No, no, we need him in LA! But it is a blessing to have such a Bishop in this state. I'm going to try and make it down there.
ReplyDeleteWHY IS JAMES SHOUTING???
ReplyDeleteI flew out to CA to be my nephews Confirmation sponsor. Bishop C administered the sacrament. I was beyond impressed. And, yes, he does Latin Masses quite often from what I understand.
Great news!
ReplyDeleteNow, if they only would change the time so I can actually attend...
Bishop Cordileone came in just before we moved to NY. He made us do CRAZY stuff like...kneeling during the Agnus Dei. Remembering to bow our heads during the Profession. Encouraging women to de-skankify (i.e., no tube tops, no visible thong straps) for Mass. Remembering to genuflect when entering and leaving the pews...and WHY. He was and is wonderful - a native San Diegan, canon lawyer, whose fluency in Spanish was a big factor in making him the Aux. Bp. And sorry, F.A.B., you can't keep him. We will simply have to kidnap him and bring him to Rochester in oh, 5 years or so...say it with me, Bp. Clark fans...MANDATORY RETIREMENT!!!
ReplyDeletePS: A - James was shouting because I think he's scared that we might not be able to hear what's projectiling from his vast interior wasteland.
