1st American Of 2008!
Si Yu'us Ma'ase, Gabrio!!

Guam's New Year's baby is born at GMH - Gabrio Allan Perez Pacific Daily News 1:15 a.m. — The first baby of 2008 - Gabrio Allan Perez - was born at 12:01 a.m. at Guam Memorial Hospital in Tamuning, according to Dr. Thomas Shieh, who delivered the baby.

Gabrio is the son of Cynthia Rose Quinata and Allan Perez, Shieh said. Gabrio was born 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Shieh has delivered Guam's New Year's baby every year since 2000.
And my mom is a Perez (Familian Gollo) from Agana, Guam (US Territory). So it wouldn't be a stretch for me to say that lil' Gabrio is probably my 5th cousin, or somewhere around there. That would make him a close relative, by island standards.
