Oprah kinda blew it the other day. In a rather pathetic attempt to play the race card, she just made herself look rather stupid. Specifically, from Salon.com; (emphasis mine)

On a springlike Sunday afternoon, talk show host Oprah Winfrey told the huge, cheering and overwhelmingly black crowd in the University of South Carolina's football stadium that they didn't need to wait.

"There are those who say it is not his time -- that he should wait his turn," said Winfrey, harking back to messages older listeners might have heard during the civil rights movement. "Think of where you'd be in your life if you waited."Hey Oprah, the only one even alluding to Obama "waiting his turn" is fellow Black, Andrew Young.

Civil rights leader and former Carter Administration U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young says 46-year-old Barack Obama is too young to be president and lacks the network of political allies that can provide important support for a national leader.

“I want Barack Obama to be president,” Young said, pausing for effect, “in 2016.”
