It's time to exorcise THAT "spirit"
Interesting goings up in The Great White North. Not that long ago I posted a story concerning the Family Life Advisory Committee of the Waterloo (Ontario, Canada) Catholic District School Board. You remember that posting, don't you? That was the one where a allegedly Catholic member of the school board referred to a group of Catholic parents who defend traditional marriage as a "hate group".
But things are just as wild and woolly up in Ontario as they ever were! Check out the poster child for The Dictatorship of Relativism;
Director of the Board says, "differences of opinion in areas like theology, faith, and morals" is "natural and healthy for a living, dynamic Church"
WATERLOO, Ontario, November 2, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Family Life Advisory Committee of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board met last night to consider objections to a pro-homosexual teacher resource manual which were raised by the local group Defend Traditional Marriage and Family. Despite a petition signed by nearly 500 Catholic parents opposing the book, FLAC decided to retain "Open Minds to Equality" in an 11-5 vote.
Page 16 of the book states: "The heterosexism in our society fosters homophobia, the fear and hatred of homosexuality which is grounded in prejudice and stereotyping." The book provides role play and group activities which train children into viewing the homosexual lifestyle as normal and natural.
Of note, at the meeting one of the members, asked if students in the Catholic schools of the board are taught "that homosexual acts" are sinful. The response from the board was "no."
Asked if he knew about the teaching in schools regarding homosexual acts being sinful Lawler replied, "I'm not going to comment on that because I wasn't there for the context of the question."
In a procedures memorandum to another board committee, Lawler spoke of legitimate differences of opinion on matters of "faith and morals". "Faith and one's understanding of faith is not static. As we learned and have been taught as a Post-Vatican II people, we are a Church with rich diversity," he wrote. Adding: "Diversity also can bring about differences of opinion in areas like theology, faith, and morals. This is natural and healthy for a living, dynamic Church."

Ladies and gentlemen... I give to you The Newchurch. Guilt-free, morality-free, absolutes-free, sin-free, God-free.
I have 1 question: "Where in the theological place of eternal damnation is the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese (Bishop Anthony F. Tonnos, Diocese of Hamilton) in all this?"
ReplyDeleteFirst, we get a nice spruce post, 8" in diameter and 12' long. Then we bury it 4' deep to hold it upright, and affice an iron ring to it. Then we tie the gazebo brains to the ring. Then we let the parents of kids whove been "seduced" by their GLBTTTSIQ teachers into a life of sin and degradation do their thing.
ReplyDeleteThen we discuss more formal santions.
I seem to recall that the Indians of that reagion had the gauntlet down to a fine art--maybe we could practice some inculturation of Native American traditions, in the name of diversity.
Allow me to ask anyone who hits Cavy's site this one, and I mean ONE, question: Please tell me what positive thing came from Vatican II? Name just one. I dare you!!!!
ReplyDeleteSemper Fi and pass the 1962 Missal.
I was going to say something else, but before I do, I just have to say:
ReplyDeleteIgnorant Redneck: I don't know who you are, but I'm really starting to like you!
Director of the Board says, "differences of opinion in areas like theology, faith, and morals" is "natural and healthy for a living, dynamic Church"
No, these things are natural -- but not healthy -- for a schismatic, dying, Anglican-style church.

ReplyDeletePope Benedict XVI?
There are no new heresies. There are only the same ones appearing again and again.
ReplyDeleteI echo the question from Al. Where is the bishop (shepherd, pastor, leader, protector) in all of this? Recall the bishop of Lincoln Nebr. excommunicated any Catholic who remained in the Masons, Call for Action, and several other anti-Catholic groups.
ReplyDelete"natural and healthy for a living, dynamic Church"
ReplyDeleteYeah...problem with that is, living things DIE and this PC, liberal theology is going to kill our church.
I want the Church that is timeless, ageless, and moral. Thank you ver much.
Archbishop Niederauer, Cardinal Mahony & Bishop Tonnos & many another US or Canadian Bishop could use a prophet on the lines of Ezekiel showing up in their dioceses:
ReplyDelete"Son of man, prophesy concerning the shepherds of Israel: prophesy, and say to the shepherds: Thus saith the Lord God: Woe to the shepherds of Israel, that fed themselves: should not the flocks be fed by the shepherds?" 34:2
"The weak you have not strengthened, and that which was sick you have not healed, that which was broken you have not bound up, and that which was driven away you have not brought again, neither have you sought that which was lost: but you ruled over them with rigour, and with a high hand. And my sheep were scattered, because there was no shepherd: and they became the prey of all the beasts of the field, and were scattered." 34:4-5
"As I live, saith the Lord God, forasmuch as my flocks have been made a spoil, and my sheep are become a prey to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd: for my shepherds did not seek after my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flocks." 34:8
Or maybe a Zechariah:
"Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! The sword will be on his arm, and on his right eye. His arm will be completely withered, and his right eye will be totally blinded!" 11:17
However, I suspect our modern day shepherds wouldn't welcome this message today any more than it was back then.
"Please tell me what positive thing came from Vatican II? Name just one. I dare you!!!!"
ReplyDeleteIt brought all the rats out from their cover so they could be seen for what they are. Now there can be no hiding the damnable progressive agenda or the fruits of their ideas.
