And What A Horrible Halloween I Had!
I'm still scared to death

Forget about Dennis Kucinich hangin' out with fellow Space Cadet Shirley MacLaine searching the heavens for little green men... hey, Kucinich can't even get the endorsement from a bunch of fruitcakes known as The Extraterrestrial Phenomena Political Action Committee. Seriously, I'm not joking.

But anyhow, as I was handing out candy to all the lil' kiddies, I looked skyward, and what did mine eyes behold?

Horrifying, ain't it?

  3. Hey Cave people. This is off topic but could you pray for the departed soul of my grandmother "Marie"? She's one of your own (she was Catholic) raised two kids all by herself (her husband ran off on her and she never remarried) as well as cared for her parents and an invalid sister and another sister with downs syndrome, and leaned heavily upon the Theotokos (Virgin Mary) for support. She said the Rosary daily. In her youth she frequented the St. Paul Winter Carnival, and was quite the hottie if I do say so myself.

She also despised Novus Ordo and everything the "Spirit of V2" stood for, much preferring the TLM and the old ways of worship. I sung her funeral mass, and because of Novus Ordo couldn't sing the Dies Irae (it was deleted) but I could and did do the Santus, Agnus Dei and Requiem Aeternam all in Latin for her. At the end I sung "Rose of Tralee" (she was 100% Irish) and In Paradisum at her grave, which is in the same cemetery as the Archbishops of St. Paul/Minneapolis, in fact on the Last Day she'll be one of the first people they'll see, including the famous Abp. John Ireland. We've had those plots by them forever. She was laid to rest by her first daughter Kathleen who died in infancy during WWII. At her retirement home she started up daily masses, and before that was in the Rosary societies for years.

She was the first of my relatives my wife met, and seemed to like our Eastern Orthodox wedding, particularly the non-stop mentioning of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, us literally being crowned and me wearing a County Down Tartan. She was senile at that point but seemed to think she was at "her" Church. Marie was 95. I just hope she could hear what I was chanting for her.

She was a Catholic Cavewoman to inspire us all.
