A Few More Thoughts On The "No Blood For Oil" Mentality
Liberal arguments are SOOOO easy to dissect
Next time one of the Great Unwashed throws their favorite screech at you, just ask them the following;
1. After The Gulf War, how many divisions did we keep in the Saudi Arabian oil fields? Ummmm..... lemme think. That's right, zero.
2. After The Gulf War, how many divisions did we keep in the Kuwaiti oil fields? Ummmm..... lemme think. That's right, zero.
3. After The Gulf War, how many divisions did we keep in the then US occupied southern marshlands (and oil soaked, I might add) oil fields of southern Iraq? Ummmm..... lemme think. That's right, zero.
4. If it really is nothing more than blood for oil, why did we liberate the entire country of Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom? Why didn't we just stop at the southern marshlands oil fields? Ummmm..... lemme think. That's right, because it really isn't all about 'blood for oil'.
But in all fairness, don't expect Liberals to recognize the obvious or to utilize any common sense.
You know, Vir, what you wrote did get me thinking about how some of these countries don't appreciate us as much as they should, you know? I wish they showed more appreciation for American effort and sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm just babbling. Don't mean to sound like a "lefty."
Take care,
Tom
Many college educated liberals are proof that formal learning can overwhelm the ability of it's recepient to apply it.
ReplyDeleteToo bad there isn't some sort of screening process that would sort out the really intelligent from the wannabe's.
Then there's gas at $3.00 a gallon to further refute "no blood for oil." If we've been fighting this war in order to get cheap gas, then we really need to re-evaluate our strategy.
