What Liberal Bias!!??Noooo, not the BBC!
Here's a small snippet concerning the latest from Pravda on the Thames (as reported by the Sunday Telegraph)...

Private Johnson Beharry's courage in rescuing an ambushed foot patrol then, in a second act, saving his vehicle's crew despite his own terrible injuries earned him a Victoria Cross.
For the BBC, however, his story is "too positive" about the conflict.
The corporation has cancelled the commission for a 90-minute drama about Britain's youngest surviving Victoria Cross hero because it feared it would alienate members of the audience opposed to the war in Iraq.
Hey, isn't the Beeb tax-payer funded?

A soldier goes through hell on Earth and this is the treatment he receives from home? That's shameful, especially from a GOVERNMENT funded company.

The favourite interpretation of BBC among British Conservatives is "Buggers Broadcasting Communism" as Chrisine Hamilton once said while appearing on it. Perhaps more appropriate in this case is "Baathist Butcher Collaborator."
Although the BBC gets its income from the "Licence Fee". In the UK, you cannot own a TV, a computer with a TV card, or even watch terrestrial TV on the internet without paying them the necessary Danegeld (£136.50 per year - about $270 US).
Guess what piece of electronic equipment I do not have in my house... Even so, they send round threatening letters every now and again implying that I might be lying, and if so, they will fine me £1000.
They say that if I do not have a TV or anything else on their list, I don't need to do anything (and there was me going to lash my back in penance) "just expect a brief visit from us soon". Sad to say, the threat is always hollow.
It's not so much the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation of yesteryear as Al-Beeb.
Fr Tim forgot to mention the electronic surveillance vans which tour the streets trying to pick up radiated energy from TV sets in unlicensed households.
