Lima: Yes! I am Catholic. [she pulls out the cardboard scapular hanging around her neck, under her big gray sweater]
GQ: Wow. A scapular. Do you go to church?
Lima: Of course! Every Sunday.
GQ: Is there anything in the teachings of the Catholic Church that you don't agree with?
Lima: No.
GQ: Are you pro-life?
Lima: What do you mean, pro-life?
GQ: How do you feel about abortion?
Lima: I think it's a crime.
How can ANYONE be an atheist!? There's no way in the world that this chick just "fell into place".

The left fears people like Ms. Lima like no other. Sure she may not be the perfect Catholic but clearly she tows the Church line on sexual issues.
ReplyDeleteSecularists are fine with a few religious "nuts" on the fringe who they can ignore. When one of the "beautiful people" or elites is religious though, they choke.
Look at the case of Mel Gibson, they had to demonize him and paint an unflattering picture to sweep him under the rug.
As crunchy con author and devout Catholic Rod Drehr once wrote, "People like me and thee—religious conservatives who are reasonably intelligent and sociable—aren’t supposed to exist."
Of course we all know the secularists are wrong, but it never hurts to have a Brazilian supermodel on our side to really drive that point home.
Another "hip" devout Catholic who irks the left is Stephen Colbert, I plan on doing a post on him as soon as lent ends.

ReplyDeleteIt's great that we're all red blooded males that can appreciate beauty.
HOWEVER, need I remind you that we are SUPPOSED to be traditional Catholics and there is a virtue called modesty that seems to be overlooked here? I wouldn't want my daughter posing for these pictures and before now I assumed you other guys wouldn't either.
And in Lent, no less.
How about Jim Caviezel? Hot as they come and a devout Catholic.
ReplyDeleteyeah Jay got hell for the same kind of post bc while yes, she is a virgin, prolife, and wears a scapular... she is also responsible for severe cases of carpal tunnel syndrome in teenage boys who masturbate to her her less then modest photos.
ReplyDeleteShe is causing an occasion of sin, which in itself is a sin. And if that is a mortal sin then unless she is at confession every week she commits a sacrilage if she receives communion.
